The Shrewsbury game seems to be a distant memory now. For myself it's hard to believe we haven't played since the 1st of January 2013. The weather forecast doesn't seem to help our lack of events surrounding Notts County. Apart from the signing of Andre Boucaud it has been very quiet, not much seems to be happening at all and I'm starting wonder if we will make any other signings. It's not a complaint, I'm just hopeful that we may add bulk to our squad. More importantly I cannot wait to sUpdated by PON_News

"There are good players coming into the team and I think we can achieve something good next season. We just have to believe it, keep working hard and we will see," Audel told the Nottingham Post. Harry Kewell has admitted that he would like one or two more recruits to bolster the Notts County squad although he stresses he is "happy" with his current crop. The Magpies did the bulk of their transfer business early in the summer with numerous high-profile players arriving at Meadow Lane. However, the Notts back line has been woefully exposed time and time again this season, the outcome of which is no wins and a spot at the bottom of the League Two table. When the final whistle blew at Priestfield on Sunday 3rd May, I surely cannot have been the only person who felt numb, drained, disappointed and fearful. Notts had lost 3-1 to Gillingham despite leading 1-0 until the 88th minute, and following a season that began so promisingly but collapsed quicker than a sixth form leaver on his first lads’ trip abroad after his tenth shot of tequila, the Magpies’ relegation was confirmed. Shola Ameobi has pledged to use his experience to help Notts County stave off relegation after describing joining the club as a "huge honour". The 35-year-old penned a contract until the end of the season before the 2-0 defeat at Accrington Stanley, in which he came on as a substitute. He believes that having played at Newcastle United alongside Magpies boss Kevin Nolan and player-coach Alan Smith, the three can be a catalyst for an unturn in form.
