Notts County have confirmed that player of the season Rob Milsom has signed a new contract at Meadow Lane. The 30-year-old midfielder has made 59 appearances for the Magpies since joining from Rotherham United in 2015. "The way the second half of the season went with the new chairman (Alan Hardy) and manager (Kevin Nolan) was really good. It's exciting times," Milsom is quoted by the Nottingham Post as saying. "My aim at the start of last season was to stay fit and play as many ga

Notts County goalkeeper Adam Collin has hailed the performances of Shaun Brisley and Richard Duffy in front of him in defence. The Magpies have a chance to make it six games unbeaten when they host Morecambe in League Two tomorrow. Collin has kept two clean sheets in the five league games played by Notts so far, but he paid credit to his centre-backs as Brisley fights to be in contention following his injury in the Port Vale win last week. The stopper told the official Notts websi

Carl Dickinson has described Notts County's 4-2 win over Bristol Rovers as proof of how far the Magpies have come in a short space of time. Friday night's FA Cup first-round encounter at Meadow Lane began in the worst possible way for Notts, who found themselves two goals down by the quarter-hour mark. However, Ryan Yates struck a quickfire brace - assisted by Dickinson for both goals - to edge the hosts level, before Jon Stead and Jorge Grant completed the turnaround by full time.

Notts County have announced the permanent signing of Crystal Palace midfielder Noor Husin on a one-and-a-half-year deal. The 20-year-old came through the Reading academy, going on to make his senior football bow during a loan spell at Hemel Hempstead Town. Husin, who was born in Afghanistan, then moved to Selhurst Park from the Madejski in August 2016. Last season he spent time on loan in League Two, scoring once in 11 appearances for Accrington Stanley - incidentally against Nott

Former Notts County captain John Thompson has claimed that Notts County looked "a bit devoid of ideas" as they fell to a 3-1 defeat at Chesterfield on Sunday. The Magpies' televised League Two clash at the Proact Stadium was the archetypal "bad day" as they conceded two goals before the break due to dreadful defending. Although Dan Jones halved the deficit late on, the following nine minutes of stoppage time only yielded another goal for the Spireites as Matt Tootle gave away a penalty

In our next three games, Notts will be playing Colchester United at home. They will then be travelling to play Brentford away from home, upon the return the following game is again at Meadow Lane, this time it will be against Port Vale. This will leave us with the final run down of fixtures, only four remaining for the fight of survival. These three fixtures will be what makes the grades for Notts, without good results here then the previous two wins will be for almost nothing. The intere

Notts County have been linked with a move for former Juventus defender Martin Caceres, if a report on the internet is to be believed. The 51-year-old is currently under contract at the League One club, but has been touted as a contender for the Leeds United job. Sheridan has held three different managerial jobs in the past three seasons. In addition to Oldham, he has spent time at Newport County and ended his two year stint at Plymouth Argyle prior to that, before returning to Boundary Park in January fo

Notts County have revealed that Oldham Athletic boss John Sheridan has put pen to paper on a three-year contract to manage Notts County. The 51-year-old helped the Latics to 17th place in League One last season having taken over in January with the team in 22nd position and five points from safety. After an astonishing end to the previous season, all the signs pointed towards Keith Curle developing Notts into strong play-off contenders, perhaps even more. But just as quickly as the leafs fell from the trees, Notts sleepwalked into an abyss. The confident squad, filled with match winners such as Zoko, Judge, Liddle and Leacock turned into draw specialists. Notts managed only one win, a surprise 1-0 victory against Swindon, in an eleven match streak which saw the month of December go by with

The 2009-10 season saw the Devon team retain Judge's services, and the rising star played 37 games, scoring five. Towards the end of the season, then Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce told the youngster he was surplus to requirements at the club, meaning he had to move again. On the 31st of August 2010, Alan Judge's spell at Notts County began, first joining on loan, then signing outright. For three years, the talented Irishman delighted Magpies fans with his impressive skills and his knack for

For myself I had been disappointed that something I knew I could have helped with would be passing me by, I had quite seriously dislocated my knee and although I am now on the mend. I was advised that this would be too much and likely cause me further complications, I had taken to Facebook to filter my disappointment. I wasn't aware that help was required, so I was really chuffed when I was asked to consider being a Marshall. On the 14/07/2013 I arrived to see scenes which looked quite spectacu
