We will see many changes during those matches of course, but looking at the squad as it is now which players will you pick for your starting eleven & you could also include the bench too.

As more players are recruited & others leaving, that starting eleven will change, so it will be interesting to see how people change their view as the squad changes up to the end of the transfer window.

Don't forget, we have a couple of shrewd owners who will have planned for this moment for a long time. They will have already done lots of research for the type of players that they will need to progress out of League One.

Lots of fans will be pleased just to consolidate Notts's position in a higher league next season & then look to push on, however the Reedtz brothers have been able to foster steady progress since our promotion from the National League, League 2 & now into League One.

Something tells me that the brothers will want to try to make a mark in League One from the outset. It's is certainly going to be an exciting close season with movement in & out of the Club, but I do think that the majority of the players that we saw in the playoff squad will remain with some quality additions. For now, I'll finish how I started & say "Good Morning League One".

Stall seems a bit conflicted. No worries, a lot of people are.

It was interesting to hear him say that he would absolutely behave differently, as a striker, if it was a VAR game - like going down when he knew his shirt was being pulled.

Well, VAR was as good as gold in our final, it didn't intrude at all. And fans could still celebrate the goals (look at the vlogs), maybe Stall had to be more tentative as a commentator. But more than that I'm sure that that changed player behaviour due to VAR helped us win.

Exhibit A - Ness' header. There's no way they would've let him do that if it was a normal game at the Peninsula or Meadow Lane. He would have been wrestled down to the ground in a way that made it look like a foul on the defender. And that's what the usual bog-standard L2 ref would've given.

I was in favour of VAR at the start but turned against it since, mainly because of the delays. But our final makes you think. VAR and the big pitch both played a part in ensuring the better team won.

Interestingly we won 24 matches the same as Bromley and MK Dons and two more than Cambridge 22.

Since Ian Burchnall we have had the philosophy of the aim win every game no matter who the opposition is and wherever we are playing. This is a noble aspiration, one which many of us agree with. However sometimes in-game decisions have to be made as to whether it’s wise to “respect the point” rather than keep on taking risks that result in defeat.

Another contributing factor to missing out on automatic promotion was our disciplinary record.

Notwithstanding losing Jatta, Norburn, Robertson, Nlovu and Hall for a number of games for red cards, it was the impact on the actual  games in which they were sent off.

If Robertson had stayed on against Bromley we might have won that game.

Norburn against Chesterfield after 19 minutes. Surely we get something from that game with 11 on the pitch. And also against Grimsby Nlovu is sent off in the 76^th minute and Grimsby score in the 85^th. We missed out on Automatic promotion by 3 points.

Whatever the case is, lets hope we have learned the lessons for next season!

Why do people think that is? I try to avoid Radio Nottingham and Post but I assume they are giving us zero publicity. Also the cost - if you want to sit in a group the only option now is the second tier at £46 or more each plus booking fee. Add petrol, parking, and food and that's a lot.

I get that opening the top tier costs money but I'd hate to think we're missing out on support by not putting cheaper blocks on sale.

I’m not sure if this is the right section of the forum, but I'm looking to get a bit of insight and some honest opinions on the value/rarity of two squad-signed Notts shirts I have in my collection. I'm trying to figure out exactly what I've got here, and I know this is the best place to ask.

1. 2007/08 Home Shirt (Precision Training / Medoc)

• Details: Full squad signatures from that League Two survival season under McParland.

• Provenance: It has handwriting on the tag stating it came "via Jason Lee, ex Forest and County", so it has a bit of direct player context tying it to that exact year.

2. 2018/19 Home Shirt (Puma - Yellow Trim / Relegation Season)

• Details: This one is a possible match-worn/match-prepared piece. It has "Tootle 2" pressed on the back, along with the official EFL League Two patches on the sleeves.

• Sponsor: The front-of-shirt sponsor is Premier Facilities Maintenance. Given that the club was running those rotating monthly sponsors around that era, I'm trying to pin down if this sponsor puts it squarely in a specific month/game for Tootle before the drop.

Both are in great condition with clear signatures.

Does anyone have a good idea of what these typically fetch among Notts collectors these days? Also, if anyone remembers the exact months or match timelines for that Premier Facilities Maintenance sponsor on the 18/19 kit, I’d love to know so I can piece together the history.

Didn't Palmer have the chance before and didn't go anywhere near them?

I'd keep Iorpenda away from them, too much pressure for a young player. Bedeau too, the goal would shrink in front of him given all the bad luck he's had trying to score.
