How did we end up signing Chicksen when this guy should have been talent spotted. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richie_Bennett Physical presence with good feet and can strike a ball

We've are 10 games in, but collectively we've only rated the performances 6 times, 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses. Here's the results. Some of the results are skewed as they've not played many games, with the games they've played perhaps being when we've lost, scoring a lower rating. Using a minimum 4 game rating gives a clearer picture: It starts to show a clearer picture. The new Dutch boys, despite a bad start (especially for Sam), are starting to rate high consistently. DKE also has a solid rating, never spectacular, but consistent. The rest shows what you'd expect for a mixed bag of results - average ratings. JOB is h…

Slocombe - 7 - Good command of his area in the first half where he was bombarded with cross, no real chance with the goals. Rawlinson - 4 - It's his man for both the goals. Ellis - 6 - Dealt with everything thrown at him. Chicksen - 5.5 - Had one dodgy moment, otherwise did OK. Enzio - 2 - Was it a tactic to let them cross it? Allowed so many crosses to come in from their full back in the first half. He's not a defender. Barnett - 0 - I feel like a broken record. He's just not good enough. Reeves - 6 - He wasn't terrible. O'Brien - 5.5 - Runs about. Griffiths - 5 - He was OK. Probably unlucky to be subbed. Wotton - 6 - Won a lot of ball. Shou…

Slocombe - 6 - No real chance with the goals, did everything required of him. Chicksen - 6.5 - Adds class to the backline. Played plenty of quality balls to the midfield and front-line. Ellis - 6 - Some poor moments defensively but goes up 1 point for a fantastic goal. Rawlinson - 5.5 - Dodgy moments defensively. Enzio - 5 - He was OK. Doesn't take players on anymore and when he does, often loses the ball. Barnett - 3 - It's the same every week, he just isn't a good footballer. Reeves - 4 - Slow, backwards, negative. When he does try and play it forward, it's so predictable and easily read by the defenders. Griffiths - 4 - Not a fantastic second …

    Slocombe - 6 - Fine. DKE - 4 - Contributes to the crab display. Backwards and sideways. Possession terrible. Ellis - 5 - Was OK. Penalty was a dive. Turner - 5 - He was fine. Barnett - 2 - He's crap. Enzio - 4.5 - Not great. Reeves - 3 - Crab. Slow. O'Brien - 6 - At least made forward runs and passes. Miller - 2 - He's crap. -1 for backing down in physical challenges. Wimp. Wootton - 5 - Some decent touches. Sam - 3 - He's crap. Ref - 0 - Hoodwinked time and time again. Gives them a pen for a blatant dive.

Slocombe 6 Great save at the end DKE 5 OK but not getting forward as previous this season Ellis 4 Long throws but very little else Turner 3 Cannot pass, end of Barnett 3 Cannot pass too, end of Reeves 3.5 nearly gave a goal away running back. Dead ball delivery so poor JOB 4 Some nice movement 2nd half... but little else Sam 3.5 Disappointing but getting harsh criticism when some of the balls into him are unplayable Miller 4 tried to make things happen Enzio 4 Drifting in and out of the game...should be moving to make himself available Wootton 4 Lone striker looking lost

Slocombe 4 One poor kick led to one Hornchurch goal DKE 4.5 Expected to be more influential Rawlinson 3 Passing was woeful at times. His lack of ability on the ball seems to have been targeted Ellis 5 Why no further use of the long throw Barnett 4 Defensive position and awareness consistently at fault Doyle 4 Injured at the end, a few good passes but overall ineffective especially defensively Reeves 3 Poor penalty, poor desire Enzio 3.5 Losing possession consistently in good positions Ruben 4.5 legs to get into position to score, well marked Miller 4 out of position but thought he offered something Wootton 4.5 missed some …

Never nice to hear about anyone losing their jobs, but that is the profession they are in and results have shown they weren't up to the job. Not sure who will take over now though. Doyle as caretaker manager (It get's him away from the pitch which is a bonus!)??? "We are not inviting applications for the manager’s position. A further update will be provided to supporters in the near future."??? https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2021/march/neal-ardley-departs-240321/

Slocombe 6 No fault for the goals Ellis 5.5 The best of the the back 3 Rawlinson 5 Dependable defensively Turner 2.5 Sorry, missed with a free header and then concedes a stupid penalty. Enzio 6.5 A wonder goal when we needed it, much better 2nd half in a more forward position Barnett 4.5 Lost his man for their first goal. Disappointing ball in forward positions Doyle 4 dawdled on edge of area. Tried too many deep balls Reeves 4.5 On e deflected shot but not as influential JOB 4 slowness of midfield personified with these 3 Wootton 5.5 Should have scored that winner but generally well marshalled. Good dummy for ruben Effion…

Slocombe - 6 - Ability to judge when to rush out and when to not is just bizarre. Why he came that far out in the second half, I will never know. Good save from Reid, but maybe should have come out? Difficult to see with angles of the camera. Rawlinson - 5.5 - He wasn't terrible, but they conceded 2 again. Ellis - 5.5 - Not sure who was at fault in the first half when Reid ran through clean on goal. Either Turner or Ellis (I have an inkling it might have been the former). Turner - 0 - Should never play for us again. How many points has he cost us this season, per game he's played? Even if he plays 'well', he's a mistake waiting to happen. The mistake of…

One playing too much football put Notts into trouble Lacey 6 head in where it hurts Barnett 7 Wonderful strike but can struggle defensively. Some crossing opportunities wasted Enzio 6 Wing back showing responsibility for defensive duties Reeves 7 One great strike and one assist, but littered with individual mistakes too Doyle 5 some good some bad JOB 5.5 Midfield with effort Wootton 6 well marked Effi…
