Collin 6 - some good saves, a bit unfair to expect him to hold the shot for their second. Hewitt 5.5 - some good challenges, but left gaps at right back and positionally slack in the centre Audel 5.5 - loses a mark for a dreadful blunder to gift them the lead. Duffy 7* - fairly sound defensively and caused them loads of problems when pushed forward late on. Bola 6 - slightly hesitant at times but mostly competent. Milsom 5.5 - struggled to get into the game a bit. O'Connor 6.5 - not everything worked, but the pick of the midfield. Yeats 5.5 - like Milsom, struggeld to get involved. Decent corners again. Thompson 6 - some bright spells but seemed to fade as…

Thought it would be interesting to start a thread on looking at the opposition players. 3 were worthy of consideration #8 Billy Waters Neat footballer, caused Notts some problems with good choice of passes around the Notts area #33 Liam Davis http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38797960 #32 Manny Onariase http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/10148516/brentford-sign-emmanuel-onariase-from-west-ham-for-an-undisclosed-fee

Based on a mean of 5Collin - 6 - better than normal but still question his decision makingBola - 6.5 - Some tidy stuff and good link up play. Defensively didn't take risksDuffy - 7 - Best performance in a Notts shirtAudel - 6.5 - Solidity, good partnership with DuffyHewitt - 5.5 - again much better than normal Hewitt fare. Dear diary, Hewitt put in a good tackle. Still suspect positionallyYeates - 6 -Better 1st half, but does give the side some balanceiet game, good shot that hit the barThompson - 6 Excellent 1st half, faded in secondMilsom - 6 - Did simple things well, but overshadowed by O'ConnorO'Connor - 6.5 - Gem of a pass to Stead for opener. 8. A relegation six pointer if ever there was one - both Notts and Accy are fighting relegation, sitting 21st and 22nd in League Two on 26 points - but with the hosts having two games in hand, it is absolutely essential for Notts to go for broke and get all three points. Match trivia and provisional team news on this week's Stat Attack: https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/home/previews/stat-attack-accrington-stanley-vs-notts-county-saturday-4-february-2017-r1303/ How do you think today will pan out? Collin 6.5 – not a lot to do, but did it competently. No blame attached for their goal. Tootle 7 – calm and composed, defended well. Audel 7.5 – another good performance, puts his body on the line and plays as if it matters. Duffy 7 – solid throughout, Duffy is a far better player than he has looked most of the season. Hollis 7 – surprised to see him at left back, but did a pretty good job. Thompson 7.5 – very competitive, some touches of class, shame about the deserved red card. O’Connor 8* - led from the front, won countless challenges, an inspirational performance. Milsom 7 – nothing spectacular, but gave us a real presence in midfie…

Magpies, Congrats on the win today - written up some thoughts on the game: http://www.TheFootbalLab.co.uk/2017/notts-county-2-1-crawley-four-things-we-learnt/ Team deserves credit for their performance today, sensed the players were working for one another. Had setbacks like the sending off of Thompson, who I'd have said was your best player at that point, and their equalizer out of nowhere, yet performance level didn't drop. Good luck for the rest of the season.

  14. So then - who was your man of the match today for Notts against Crawley and why?

Stand out players were Wildin and Dominic Brown Hill. If there is a problem with our youth team, it is the lack of physicality in the side, which was exposed by Romulus in the FA Youth Cup.

Collin 4 - Not a lot to do, except pick the ball out of his net. Reminds me of Seamus, knowing we have a keeper that's not good enough. Time for LoachLaing 4 - Cannot see him lasting pass January, though given a choice, Duffy should be ahead of him in the queue to leave.Duffy 3 - Obvious now why he went to Eastleigh. Should have stayed there Hollis 3 - Out jumped by the "lump"Dickinson 3 - MoftM??? Too slow, holds the whole team back as he has no pace.Tootle 4 - No pace, little quality, should be imposing himself on games like this but fails miserably. Still cannot hit the target.O'Connor 5 - Sending off appeared to be given by 4th Official who was in no position to see …

  24. Loach 5.5 Not at fault for any of the goals, but Sheridan with no doubt not pick him for the 1st team Wildin 5.5 Tidy but getting to know the standard required Hewitt 5 giving too much space and not taking responsibility Hollis 5 Those who still think Hollis is the answer, think again Audel 5.5 Offensively so much better but one major lapse in concentration allowed their winger the freedom to create their first Snijders 5 some nice touches and short passes but crosses were generally poor Smith 4.5 cannot cover the ground but can put in the odd crunching tackle Thompson 6 good to see Curtis back, gave some stre…
