Notts lost 3-1 at Orient back in September. It was a bizarre game to say the least. RM made 9 changes to the starting lineup and Notts went in 1-0 down at half time. He made a couple of changes at half time and Notts levelled within a minute of the restart. Notts looked the more likely to win the game but Orient snatched victory with 2 late goals. Orient are 9th in the table. They have 46 points (7 more than Notts). They have scored 46 goals (2 more than Notts) and conceded 45 goals (5 less than Notts). In their last five games, they have beaten Portsmouth, Newport & Wycombe and lost to Northampton and Cambridge. They were humiliated 4-0 at home last Saturday by…

Sorry @Dripsey3 if I stole your thunder! I'm hoping for a win again, though I can't say I'm looking forward to the game, we have a terrible record at Victoria Park. Even an improved (more creative) performance would be progress. Head says we'll get beat, but hoping for a 2-1 Notts win. YP

Ik I am usually one to complain about Jamie, but there is nothing we can do, and tbh, he has shut majority of fans up by winning 2 out of his 3 games! I for one know that i need to get behind him more and i hope you lot can do the same! YOUPIES! -NewarkPie

York is around 70 miles from Nottingham so it's a short trip for Notts this week. There are several fun and interesting places to visit in the city. Take a take trip back to York's gory past in the York Dungeon. Alternatively you could visit the cathedral to pray for a Notts victory. Right that's my bit for the York tourist board finished, no they didn't pay me.....honest. York are dead last in the table. 24th out of 24 teams. They have 20 points (16 less than Notts). They have scored 29 goals (11 less than Notts) and conceded a whopping 52 goals (6 more than Notts). Their record in their last 5 games is won 1 (Stevenage at home), drew 1 (Carlisle away) and los…

I'm taking a hiatus from Notts at the moment, but I felt I would be letting PON down if I didn't continue with the match thread so on we go....... Hartlepool aka The Monkey Hangers. If Monkey Hangers is unfamiliar to you, then google Hartlepool and monkey hangers for the bizarre story surrounding this nickname. In fact the Hartlepool mascot is actually a monkey and there's a statue in the city of a monkey as well I believe. Right I got distracted, back to the actual game itself..... Hartlepool are 22nd (7 places below Notts). They have 24 points (12 less than Notts). They have scored 23 goals (a whopping 17 less than Notts). They have conceded 41 goals (a surpri…

Luton actually have 2 reasons to dislike Notts. In 1991, we beat them and condemned to relegation from the old first division. We were already relegated but it was nice to leave on a high. Then we relegated them out of the football league after they had that massive points deduction. Football is a funny old game...... Notts beat Luton 3-2 at home back in September. Izzy's double had Notts 2 up, but the inevitable last 20 minute collapse meant Luton were level going into injury time. Late drama saw a Luton player sent off for a last man foul and Noble fire in the resulting free kick to give Notts victory. Both managers have since been fired. Luton are 15th in th…

Loach, 7.5 Not really tested but extremely competent Wildin, 7 Another match, I am convinced he will Right Back for years to come Amevor 7 Cool and comfortable Audel 6 Good in defence, distribution let him down Sharpe, 6.5 Improving...some good crosses Noble 6.5 sub'd at h/t Valencic 6.5 some nice passes De Silva, 6.in central midfield, did a reasonable job Gibson 7 grew as the game progressed, good goal Bishop 5 still not seeing any real hope in terms of goal scoring threat. Snijders 5.5 disappointed that he failed to make most of his opportunity. Well marshalled by their de…

I know I'm supposed to wait for the match thread to appear in the forums, but I can't wait. No doubt a virtual punishment awaits me....I can take it....... We lost 2-1 at Wimbledon back in September. Hayden Hollis gave us the lead but 2 goals in the last 5 minutes meant a deserved victory for the home side. Hayden gave an interview where he said he had a plan to deal with The Beast, but it clearly didn't work as The Beast scored a last minute winner. Not too many can handle The Beast so we'll forgive Hayden.... Wimbledon are 8th in the table, 8 places above Notts. They have 39 points (6 more than Notts). They have scored 38 goals (same as Notts) and conced…

Hate to say it after Saturday's hoof football against a side who are clearly physical and good in the air I think it's clear to see we can still go down this year. And for Fullarton to think we were in the ascendency he was smoking some strong stuff we hardly had a chance other then Blair Adams hit the post. We offerd no threat no attempt to pass and move we offered McLeod stead zero service or chances we parked the bus at home in 0 mins we made mental descions. We have wingers such as valencic Snidjers Burke but we play Adams as a left mid who didn't do a lot zero pace we played Bennett as a midfielder an a swear with my own eyes he was avoiding the ball a…

The following reserve fixtures in the Final Third Development League will be played at Meadow Lane this month: 12th v Doncaster Rovers (2pm) 19th v Scunthorpe United (2pm) 26th v Hartlepool United (2pm) Prices are £3 Adults, £1 concessions. I have fond memories of attending reserve games in the old North Midlands League way back in the 70s and seeing players like Pedro and Benji graduate to the first team, so I'll try and give these a go.

Notts beat Crawley 4-1 back in September. One of the few highlights of a disappointing season. Crawley were actually second last leaving Meadow Lane that Tuesday night in September. Since then they have steadied the ship and moved up the table. They are currently 13th in the table on 34 points (4 ahead of Notts but they have played 2 more games). They have scored 33 goals (4 less than Notts) and conceded 44 goals (the exact same as Notts). Crawley have won 2 and lost 3 of their last 5 games. They lost to Barnet, Wycombe and Portsmouth. They beat Stevenage & Cambridge. 23 of their 34 points have come at home. Notts have never won at Crawley. Crawley's…

It's FA Cup 3rd Round weekend but because of our inept display at Salford, we will be in league action this weekend. We drew 1-1 at home against Accrington in August. Notts played very well and should have been 4 or 5 up before Noble got sent off and the inevitable late goal to level the game. Stanley are absolutely flying this season. Instead of being the relegation candidate many thought, they are pushing for a playoff place. They are 7th in the table with 39 points (9 more than Notts and they have 2 games in hand). They have scored 38 goals (1 more than Notts) and conceded 26 goals (a whopping 18 less than Notts). Again it's easy to see why Stanley are 7th and No…

After seeing saturdays performance, it made me wonder, was it Ricardos fault? the players just did not want it enough and call me crazy, the only one who put effort in the whole game was Hollis. he was their for everything, the defending was defiantly better but in the second half every player went walk abouts. Milsom had a good game i thought. But was it ricardos fault? Lemme know what you thought and what needs to happen.

Oxford thumped us 3-1 in the league in August. Notts were level at half time but Oxford blow us away in the second half. Roy saved a penalty to limit the damage. Oxford are going along nicely in the league. They are sitting in 3rd place. They have 45 points (15 more than Notts). They have scored 36 goals (one more than Notts) and conceded 19 goals (a whopping 21 less than Notts). It doesn't take a genius to see why Oxford are 3rd and Notts aren't. Oxford have lost only 1 won of their last 5 games. They usually go with a 4-4-2 set up. They like to build from the back. They have pace and power in their side. Sam Slocombe in goal is under rated IMO. He got his ch…

Morecambe beat Notts 4-1 in August. A strange game. 2 late goals put a gloss on the scoreline. Notts didn't take their chances against a patched up home side. Morecambe are on a poor run of form. 1 win in 7 in all competitions. Beaten by York in their last league game. Their game vs Mansfield fell foul of the weather today. Morecambe are 18th. 2 points behind Notts. They have scored 38 goals (5 more than Notts) and conceded 39 (1 more than Notts). Barry Roche is a decent keeper at this level but the defence are woeful. Barkhuizen will cause problems in midfield but his partner in crime Mullin is either injured or suspended. Miller up front could pose a few …
