The dreaded away game again for Notts. A trip to Hartlepool after a feast of turkey and stuffing, quality street stuffed in the pockets and a turkey sandwich in the bag, nursing a hangover. As away games go, Hartlepool is one of the more winnable ones. They have lost 13 games this season. They are 21st in the table with 20 points (9 behind Notts). They have managed to score only 20 goals (13 less than Notts) and have conceded 35 (3 more than Notts). Hartlepool have lost their last 2 in the league but have made it to the 3rd round of the FA Cup after a lucky 2-0 win at home to Salford. I'll be honest, I struggled to come up with quality players for Pool. Mic…

Good luck to anyone who hasn't seen the Carlisle goals yet what a joke bunch of goals Rember last year when we was sponsored by jongulers comedy club I think it was. Well they should of had that sponsor this year around absolutely shocking I mean who allows ibhere all the time in the world to score. Terrible goals terrible play but don't worry moniz some still believe in you even if we slip to 18th they'll still believe in you. Me personally I hope you go fast cause you're living on borrowed time it's disgraceful after 5 months were still struggling to get above 12th

Carlisle is still recovering from the recent flooding so this game has been moved to Deepdale, home of PNE. So is it actually an away game or a game at a neutral venue? Let the debate begin. Notts have the advantage of actually playing at Deepdale recently so that might go in our favour. It's going to be strange for Carlisle. Our former manager Keith Curle is in charge of Carlisle, the second former manager we will face and it isn't even Christmas yet! Mind you, at the rate Notts go through managers, I'm surprised we aren't playing a former manager every week....... Carlisle are 6th in the table. A lofty position for a team many had predicted to struggle this season.…

If like me you can't wait til 12 to see the goals jus go on google and type Wycombe vs Notts county goals sky they have them up. But anyways after just watching the goals Campbell looked dangerous fouled for the penalty and milsom a delivery in the box was fantastic and a good finish by Campbell. Milsom seems to have a engine like Thompson someone who will bomb up and down and won't tire which could be very effective with Campbell or ahead of him . Anyways enough rambling there goals I'm not convinced about the first goal it's almost like someone lost there runner an he had a simple head in could of been avoided. The second one for me is almost from a …

A trip south on a Tuesday night for Notts. Hopefully it's not raining. Wycombe are 10th. 2 places above Notts with a game in hand. They are 2 points ahead of Notts. They have scored 24 goals (7 less than Notts) and conceded 19 goals (a whopping 14 less than Notts). Wycombe's last game at Accrington was postponed. They lost 3-0 at Bristol Rovers in their last league game but did win 2-1 at Millwall in the FA Cup in their last game. Wycombe are strong at the back. Matt Ingram in goal is one of the best in L2. Their right back Sido Jombarti is rock solid. Aaron Pierre is one of the best CB in the division. They have a well balanced midfield. Marcus Bean is the …

Izales celebration was so him how he scores and all of a sudden shhhes the haters. I really felt for the bloke taking all the stick and for the players cause yea I hate not playing well but I've never booed or chanted what a waste of money . Cause I know the bloke is a goal scorer but it always seems of we ain't winning its the strikers fault cause he has a 150k price tag but I hate to say it if you don't get the right assistance or creativity it's useless. We could have Messi Ronaldo and they'd be useless away from home just up top on there own holding it at em. Saturday we found out what Izales strenghs are and played to them perfectly and he reward…

Newport didn't win their first game of the season until Sep. 26th. Terry Butcher left at the beginning of October and was replaced by John Sheridan. Results didn't improve until Oct. 20th when Newport went to Wycombe and won 2-0. They have gone 7 games unbeaten since then and have progressed to the 3rd round of the FA Cup. That's some turnaround. Newport are 21st in the table. They have 19 points from 20 games (6 points behind Notts). They have scored 21 goals (6 less than Notts) and conceded 29 goals (1 less than Notts). Newport's main threat is Scott Boden. He is top scorer with 6 goals, 4 in the league. He scored the winner at Barnet in the FA Cup on Saturday. Le…

Anyways Players Coaches Mangers il start us off with the most obvious Last seasons hitman Garry Thompson I can think of one more but il see who else has him in mind a clue he scored us some wonder goals also one at Wycombe and one at Grimsby. let the guessing begin ⚽️⚽️

Tomorrow, our young magpies will face Lincoln in the last game during the festive period. Notts are currently doing very well, they currently sit town of the youth alliance (east north division) on the same points as Mansfield but they are not far behind several teams so it's quite close. Good luck to them tomorrow! Do you think our youngsters will win? Read the preview for the youth team game - Here

We face another ex manager on our next game. Shaun Derry is settling in as Cambridge manager. Cambridge are 17th in the table (3 places below Notts). They have 23 points from 19 games. They have scored 27 goals (one more than Notts) and conceded 30 goals (3 more than Notts). Their recent form hasn't been great. They did manage a 1-0 win at home against Basingstoke in the FA Cup but that hardly inspires confidence. They have won only 1 of their last 4 league games and that was a 4-2 win away to Morecambe last night which is impressive to be fair. SD seems to have settled for a straight forward 4-4-2 formation. From what I've seen and that isn't much I'll admit,…

Martin "Mad Dog" Allen returns to Meadow Lane. His unexpected departure created quite a stir at the time and it still divides opinion amongst the Pies faithful. Our boy Izzy had a successful career at Barnet. 32 league goals in 68 games is mighty impressive! Barnet have 21 points so far. That's 1 less than Notts. They have scored 23 goals, one more than Notts and conceded 28 goals, 3 more than Notts. Barnet's away form is woeful. 4 points from a possible 27 points. 1 win in 9 games and a goal difference of -11. Barnet drew 0-0 at home to Morecambe on Saturday. They have been on a decent run of form including a 2-0 win over Blackpool in the FA Cup. They hav…

Sadly Northampton's biggest battle this season has been in the courts rather than on the pitch. The winding up petition against them has been adjourned to November 30th. The players are the only ones being paid at present. Hopefully they get it sorted out. On the pitch, Northampton are flying high. They are currently 3rd in table with 31 points. That's 9 points ahead of Notts. They have scored 27 goals and conceded 21 goals. Their last game was a 1-0 win over Mansfield at home. They are still in the FA Cup after a fantastic 201 win over Coventry in the first round. They are on an unbeaten run of 5 games. Marc Richards is their danger man. 8 goals so far this sea…

A trip to the North West for Notts on Friday night. We all know about Salford since there were taken over by the class of 92. There's even a weekly series on them on the BBC on Thursday nights. Salford play in the Evo Stik League Premier Division. That's 3 levels below League 2. Salford are 4th in the table, 9 points behind the leaders but with 3 games in hand. They lost 2-1 at Nantwich Town in the first qualifying round of the FA trophy last Friday. They made 9 changes to the side that drew 2-2 with Matlock Town in their last game so they obviously rested players with the Notts game in mind. Salford have a few players with league experience. The best known…

And I don't blame him for it if you get stick of away fans you give it back in my view but did anyone else see this cause I didn't

According to the bookies, Portsmouth are odds on favourites to win L2 this season and so far they haven't disappointed. They are 2nd in the table with 28 points (9 more than Notts). They have scored 22 goals (3 more than Notts) and conceded 12 (a massive 10 less than Notts). Portsmouth drew 0-0 at home to Mansfield in their last game. They didn't create many chances. Portsmouth actually have a better away record. They are unbeaten on the road in the league this season. 5 wins and 2 draws. That's impressive. Portsmouth have a very strong squad. They have quality in every position. Their danger man is Matt Tubbs. He has 5 goals so far this season. They also have real qu…
