Another round of Magnet links on Saturday Notts take on Crewe. How many links can we find between the two clubs? I’ll start you off with Geoff Thomas who left Notts in 2001 after making 8 appearances and rejoined Crewe where he spent an earlier period in his career. How many more can we find?

Apologies for not doing this for a while what with holiday and illness I’ve been very lax. A bit later than normal but still time to get plenty of links posted. So for any new members the idea is we try to think of any links between Notts and Wrexham, whether it’s players, management, owners or tea ladies. I seem to remember a player with the nickname “Rooster” who played for us and Wrexham, can anyone jog my memory? How many more links can we find?

After the dissapointing result at home to Gillingham yesterday, I just want to remind everyone that we are not out of the playoff picture just yet. Yes, we might have dropped out of the playoff places, but I believe we can still be optimistic about Notts making the playoffs. We have 16 games left. If we can win 10 or 11 games of those 16, with a draw or two mixed in, 75 or 76 points could be enough to scrape into 6th or 7th place. We could still lose up to 5 more games & still make it. Teams around us are dropping points too, so that target of 76 points could decrease. It may be too much of a tall order, but it is still possible. We have an attackin…

Stone 6.5 - a couple of decent saves, no chance with the winner. Warner 6 - a mix of good and dodgy moments. Showed promise, he will have easier games than this. Baldwin 8* - plenty of good headers and blocks, held us together at the back. Cameron 6 - did ok, fairly standard game. Nemane 5.5 - decent first half, didn't do a lot in the second. Robertson 7 - got stuck in and used the ball well, looks a useful recruit. Bostock 5.5 - not awful, but nowhere near the player he can be. Cowley 5.5 - another who didn't reach the levels he is capable of. Jones 7 - scared them, but got no protection from the ref. Should have done better with his second half opportuni…

The next five games for Notts, home and away are going to be very tough & season defining in my opinion. Mansfield: away Gillingham: home Newport: away Wrexham: away Crewe: home I would be very happy if we could take 10 points from these games. 3 wins and a draw with one loss. Am I being too optimistic or could we do it with Stuart now at the helm?

Heres one to start you off, Thierry Audel joined Barrow briefly when he left Notts in 2017. He only played 7 games for them before moving to Welling Utd. How many more links can we find?

On Saturday Notts take on league leaders Stockport at Meadow Lane. How many links can we find between the two clubs? I’m going for the obvious one Kyle Wootton, I hope he gets a good reception. Who else is linked between the two clubs.

Notts are holding a fans forum on 21st November, I won’t be there because it’s season ticket holders only by the looks of it plus another small matter is that it’s Mrs. T’s birthday and I value my life. https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2023/november/fans-forum-081123/?fbclid=IwAR1eOdLSa7xbAmXhRSJGgkMFkq5rkJpU5Cx0kU9JsNYrfusqNJBgfGjQEwc_aem_AT9K68Us5314Crc3bZYejeoRin53fQ7hYg_14aPg5TnA6ixxzBhJiOiipEJuPBxOybM

On Saturday Notts travel to Grimsby, how many links can we find between the two clubs. My offering is Gary Lund one of my favourite all time players. He started his career at Grimsby and played for them between 1983-1986, he arrived at Notts in 1987 via Lincoln and stayed until 1995 making 248 appearances scoring 62 goals. How many more can we find? Over to you.
