After a long trip to Bristol on Tuesday, Notts are heading for Devon on Saturday, a trip of 213 miles. The fixture computer obviously doesn't take distance into account........... Exeter are 11th in the table. They have 21 points, 3 points ahead of Notts. They have scored 20 goals (2 more than Notts) and conceded 20 goals (1 less than Notts). They won 1-0 at home to Cambridge last night. Exeter like to play the ball on the ground. They play at a high tempo and work very hard to get the ball back. They actually do better against teams that like to play the ball on the ground. They have trouble against physical sides. Exeter's most dangerous player is their front man T…

My first Notts game was a trip to Bristol Rovers. Notts lost 2-0. I don't want to talk about it. Rovers are 2 points above us with a game in hand. Rovers are on a 3 game winning streak. Their 2-1 win against Mansfield yesterday was incident packed. Easter scored and was sent off so he won't be facing us. Mansfield had 2 players sent off and Taylor scored a 98th minute winner. Taylor and Harrison are their danger men. Taylor has scored 4 in 4. We won't get much time on the ball against them, they play a typical high tempo League 2 style. I think it will be a 1-1 draw. Stead for us. We need to start picking up points on the road. It's a long trip on a Tuesday night a…

Yeovil joined us in League 2 this season. It hasn't been easy for them. 9 points from 12 games sees them 1 place above the drop zone. They are an average side at best. Anything less than a home win would be disappointing. 3-1 to Notts. Izzy (2) and Burke.

From the official site: Due to the positioning of a Sky TV camera, supporters are advised of disruption to seating arrangements for Sunday's game. Within the Kop Stand Upper Tier for Sundays fixture, there will be the requirement of a small number of Bench season card holders and match ticket buyers to change location. We have attempted to keep the numbers of supporters required to move to a minimum, however those with season cards or match tickets need to move from the following areas: Kop Upper Blocks C & D Rows DD – TT Seats 65 – 90. Supporters can change seats at the ticket office in advance or on the day of the game. We would request that if…

Notts on the telly on Sunday. I suspect that when this fixture was picked the broadcaster felt it would be a top of the table clash. They were half right. Plymouth are top of the pile heading into the game. 2 defeats in 11 games. Still in the JPT after a fantastic derby win over Exeter. Scoring goals and a mean defence. Plymouth have a strong squad. Power and pace mixed with great passing and composure. A joy to watch. Luke McCormick is one of the best keepers in the division. Graeme Carey is a midfield general. Reuben Reid scores goals and his partner in crime? Jake Jervis who is thriving at Argyle. I have no idea what RM will do next. 2 crushing defeats in a week an…

a lot of people at the game have all said the same thing last night no effort no team spirit players not communicating with one an other and players looking like they didn't want to be out there or play for moniz it really makes me wonder has he pissed a few off because to me that's very worrying when players don't look arsed or have no fight in them for a manager I think it's fair to say behind the scenes rumours can be looking more likely the first team at orient that he dropped wasn't told til a few hours before an put them back in tonight people at the game were saying they didn't even look botherd or interested I think his time is ending sorry but as soon as the play…

I don't know about you lot but I already have a bad feeling about tomrrow and I'm already nervous I just feel Plymouth are on fire at the minute and if we lose its 3in a row and we ain't movin anywhere fast i know it's only October but it will be half way thro October by Yeovil and we could still be 16th and in a realistic fans view it's not good enough at all even the most optimistic would say it's not good enough hope they boys prove me wrong but I can't see it I'm excited but nervous at same time as I think moniz doesn't have a clue about this league still

Notts' youth team have started the season as they traditionally do these days - slowly! With only one league win in their first five games it is hoped the team will get stronger as the season progresses as they have done over recent seasons. This morning the youth team were up against a Scunthorpe team who had started the season so much better than Notts with only a single defeat in their first six games and were sat fourth in the table - so with three players out with injuries the Notts youth team were going to have a tough game on their hands. From the start Notts battled well with the teams appeared evenly matched but on the 26th minute Notts fell behind wi…

now that Stanley is injured who plays that CDM (central Defence Mid) I hope this clown goes to 442 and plays with noble Curtis in the middle maybe Campbell on left and bring back snidjers he offers us pace and put McLeod an stead up top or even McLeod and spencer I'm sick of 451 where McLeod is isolated at times if we play two up there we would cause so much more problems for defences

I think Moniz likes this competition so a full team is very likely. Sheffield Utd are possibly the best side left in it so it's a tough game but I think our style is better suited to playing decent footballing sides. Prediction? Haven't a clue. Depends on the sides the Blades play. I'll go for Notts on penalties.

Orient accompanied us into L2 last season. One of the favourites for promotion from L1, their season was an unmitigated disaster from start to finish. Orient would have been many peoples tip to go straight back up this season and they started in spectacular fashion with 5 wins from 5 games. They have hit a bump in the road since though and haven't won in their last 5. Their latest defeat was a 2-1 home defeat to Carlisle. Orient have 2 quality players in Dean Cox and Jay Simpson. Cox is a real goal scoring threat from midfield. Simpson is an out and out goal scorer. Orient are a bit like Notts in that they like to play neat and attractive football. I think …

I wish moniz would of sorted this out as soon as soon after the villa game when McLeod got fouled in that game an wanted the penalty against Crawley arguments again over who takes an tonight argument again an he gets it an misses don't get me wrong he's a quality striker but moniz has to take charge an say right noble is penalty taker end of

Daggers are struggling at the bottom of the table. One place outside the drop zone. They have won 1 game out of 9. Being honest, I don't rate them at all, they will pose little threat against us. McClure up front needs watching but that's about it. I think we'll cruise to a 3-0 win. Izzy, Campbell and Hollis.

York are one of those teams pundits and fans alike tip for relegation before every season but they are still in the football league. York have had a steady start to the season by their standards. 9 points from 8 games, 1 point and 1 place below Notts. They have only won 1 away game and that was against a woeful Newport side. They are on a 3 game unbeaten run. They have a couple of decent players in midfield. James Berrett has added real quality since his arrival in the Summer. Luke Summerfield is another threat in midfield. Their main threat up front is Reese Thompson. A lively player who will cause problems. York are a high tempo, tackle everything type of side…

Creepy Crawley dropped down with us last season. Their 2-0 win over us in April put a nail in our coffin, not the final nail, but a nail nonetheless. We have played them 3 times at the Lane. We have won 2 and drawn the other. Crawley have had a poor start to this season. They have picked up 6 points in 7 games and are 1 place above the the drop zone. Strangely enough their 6 points have come from games against sides expected to challenge for promotion. 1 win and 3 draws. Crawley haven't scored in their last 3 games. Their top scorer Gwion Edwards is suspended. Roarie Deacon could be a threat. Other than that, I'm struggling to name a player who could cause us pr…

With the absolute horror show that I and 500 other fans went to watch on Saturday, I wonder if there will be any real change in the starting 11 in tonight's match against Crawley. For me it would be: Loach Amevor (is hewitt fit?), Sprockel, Audel, Swerts Aborah, Thompson Snijders, Noble, Campbell McLeod What would you like our 11 to be? What are your score predictions?

Well, what's going on? @Blackville and I went to the Grimsby game - what a waste of money and effort, the less said about that performance the better. We also went to the Mansfield game, which I really enjoyed despite the result. More entertainment than in whole months of last season. However, things seem to have gone down hill since then, and I'm beginning to wonder if renewing our season tickets was wise. Have we made a mistake?

Notts Reserves played their first game this afternoon at Arnold in the Football League's Final Third Development League against Grimsby. Notts team: Pilks Richards, Aghatise, Bennett, Adams Sarpong, Wildin, Wroe, Valencic, Gibson Spencer Subs: Rutty-Smith Parkes McMillan Payling Layton After only a few minutes Spencer made it 1-0 when he received a good through ball, side stepped the keeper and rolled it into the empty net. HT 1-0 Larty Sarpong made it 2-0 after 50 minutes. FT 2-0

It will be good to get back to playing the genuine Dons after a few seasons having to put up with playing the fake Dons. Wimbledon are 2 points ahead of us in the table. They have scored in all of their league games up to now. They have scored 8 goals in 7 games and conceded 9 goals. Their home form isn't great, 1 win and 2 defeats, but both those losses are to promotion contenders (Plymouth and Cambridge). Wimbledon are very similar to Morecambe. They are a well managed side. They are physical and play a high tempo game. Their talisman is the beast aka Adebayo Akinfenwa. He doesn't move around much but is a deadly finisher. He's going to pose a new sort of chal…
