I reckon Huddersfield will struggle this season. I have tipped them to go down. They were well beaten by Hull yesterday. I reckon we'll make a few changes for this game. Huddersfield will probably do the same. 3-2 to Notts AET. Campbell hat trick.

The Notts Youth team completed its pre-season preparations on Saturday with a 2-3 defeat at Port Vale when only a late penalty stopped the young 'Pies from claiming something from the game. Of the five games played, all away from home, they managed only one victory a 5-3 win against Central College at Basford United plus a 0-0 draw with Northampton Town and defeats at both Watford and Coventry City. Having said that they have played some good football and with eight players progressing from last years' team to become this years' second year scholars - the team looks to have a sound basis for the coming season. As always the youngsters are well drilled, get the ball dow…

So it begins..... Stevenage finished in the playoff positions last year but lost in the semi final to Southend. They lost 5 times at home in the league. League 2 wasn't very strong last year so I wouldn't read too much into Stevenage making the playoffs. They finished 22 points behind league champions Burton. Teddy Sheringham has taken over as manager and they have lost some key players. They also have a few injury concerns going into Saturday's game. It's hard to see where the goals are going to come from for them. Their pre season form is so so. Notts should be capable of winning this one. Even a draw would be a good start. I'm going for 2-1 to Notts. Swerts…

The new season is upon us, and first up are Stevenage FC, the club have had a couple of other guises, so we are looking here at connections with: Stevenage FC Stevenage Borough Stevenage Athletic Last season the away fixture at broadhall ended with a narrow 0-1 victory for Notts.... Who are your connections, playing or coaching?

Here's the chance for Notts to settle folks nerves by putting together a decent display on home soil, if Ricardo Moniz can get the defence to steady themselves, I think optimism will be back on the increase. The result as such isn't important, however I hope we avoid a defeat like Grimsby because Scunthorpe have a decent squad. I also hope the players are excited about playing in-front of home fans, so we shall see. Is anyone going? What do you think the score will be? I think it will be end to end, with Notts taking the lead. The final score? Possibly 2-2. I would be happy with that, yet I hope for a home win.

I can't wait, I don't want to do a @Joe Jones but it's fantastic news that Carly Telford is confident about playing. It's just a shame we don't have a backup for the bench, however if you need something to spur you on - Surely this will be one of them reasons? How unfair is by the FA to not permit us to enter a second keeper??? Well, my Chelsea friend is going and I hope we can show him just what being a Notts fan is like by making a lot of racket. The score possibly could favour Chelsea, on paper they have the strongest squad but not by much. COME ON NOTTS LADIES, BRING THE CUP BACK TO NOTTINGHAM. You Pies!

Notts are away at Grimsby tomorrow in the latest pre-season friendly. Will RM give @MuddyPatchPie her wish and field a more settled side that is closer to his idea of how Notts will line up when the season starts proper ? Grimsby beat the Rams 2 - 1 in our opening pre-season friendly so I'm very interested to see how this game goes.

I've been weighing up I would be attending this, yet I have a fair few things which require being done and so I have sat this one out. I'm hoping to hear further good news about the style of play, not that we should gauge the squad based on the standard of opposition but more to see who's doing well within the early stages. Anyone going? Are you there? Keep us updated with your views on this.

So how do you think Moniz will go about on our first pre season friendly? I know there will be quite a few trialists and it is our first chance to see the new play all be it against lesser opposition. Let's just hope he doesn't play Spencer

Here we are, it's the final game and I really can't believe how quickly time has flown by. The start of the season was brilliant, even now I am pleased it wasn't 'dull' despite hoping that next year we just focus on improving from here. If we stay up great! If we go down, let's really get behind the club and attempt to move forward together. Gillingham are the team I felt we had a good chance winning (under Derry). I felt Yeovil and Crawley would also be games we picked up the maxium amount of points. However, I think Moniz will instil some spirit into the lads to go out and perform well. I want to see us win convincingly, I can't handle another Oldham game like we had …

Alrighty, another sixpointer and for once it literally is if we can beat Doncaster and Gillingham. I hate saying it, as every games been labelled this but these two games really are and to be openly honest I am not confident about either. You all know how much I love Notts, unless your fairly new and there's no change in my level of support but I have accepted relegation, as many other fans have. Doncaster are very unpredictable, decent side on paper but they struggle with consistency. On a good day, I can see Notts actually winning and I hope we can but I don't see it happening. I would have this labelled as a draw personally but I honestly think they will sink us and…

Our game in hand. Both sides desperate for the points for different reasons. We drew up there earlier in the season. They haven't closed out their last 2 games despite being the better side so we have hope. 1-2 I reckon. Can't see us getting anything. They are a much better side.

Notts County Youth team completed their season with a 1-1 draw at home against local rivals Mansfield Town. With a view to preparing for next season the Notts team was made up largely of 15 and 16 year olds a number of whom have only recently been awarded scholarships with the club for the next two seasons. A win could have lifted the Pies to a fourth place finish but the draw means they will end the season in sixth place. A slightly disappointing final position but a team who had to manage on too many occasions without the presence of top scorer Colby Bishop due to first team calls earlier in the season and a fairly serious injury in March meaning he missed the las…

Forget all that have gone before, this is a real 6 pointer. We beat them 5-3 at home in October to move into 6th place in the table with a total of 20 points. 6 points ahead of Creepy Crawley. Since them we have picked up a grand total of 27 points from 30 points. Staggering ineptitude is how I'd describe it. We have only played Crawley 6 times and other than the above game, there haven't been too many goals. Our record at Crawley is 1 draw and 1 loss. We have yet to score there. Notts did play better last night but the attack is an issue. Creepy have massive problems at the back. They have 1 fit central defender, although they are hoping to have 2 fit this we…

As RM says, we have to start winning the home games. Barnsley are on a poor enough run, no wins in 6, but when you look at it a bit closer, you'll see that they drew against Bristol City and PNE (1st and 2nd) so they are no mugs. We beat them at Oakwell in October. Notts came from 2 goals down after 12 minutes to win 3-2. Petrasso (remember him?) got 2 that day. I don't think we'll win this game. Another draw I expect. 1-1. Spencer. I think RM will see his influence kick in for the last 4 games so winning or avoiding defeat here would be a huge boost.

Well, listening to the Chairman's interview with Colin Slater yesterday, it highlighted a possible fact that if we win we may relegate Yeovil Town. It's a tough season for them, they reached a good height by making the Championship and it just shows how concerning it is to rush promotion without having the right things in place. That said, I don't see them being any sort of a push over but I don't believe that us being able to relegate them will make them play any better either. I think it's probably going to be a dull game, so for us it will be about us taking our chances. Let's hope Moniz can hit the ground running and we show him the support required to move on, so …

Another 6 pointer. Coventry lost 1-0 at home to Leyton Orient on Thursday. They played well though. I think we will be more attacking in this game. We will score I reckon, but the Calamity Brothers could be exposed. 1-1 draw I reckon.

How do you think it feels to be the manager of this club we support? Could you do it? More importantly what does it take to catch a break? I wonder if our managers worry about how long they have to implement their plans and vision, does it weigh on their mind? There is little chance we will see success unless we give managers time and see it has a two year plan. That said, I would not become the manager. To catch a break whoever must be good! Plus understand the fans.
