After a narrow win against Fleetwood Town in the Capital One cup, Notts will no doubt be wanting to leave an impression on Peterborough United. The suspension to Manny for his second bookable offense leaves a slight dilemma for Notts, especially with Liddle also being out after being red card at Sheffield United. Now do we put Sheehan into a centre back position and allow young Tempest to play left back (my personal preference) or do we try to feature Hollis if he's anywhere near being ready after his injury? I personally wouldn't risk putting an unfit Hollis into the mix, not even if he was near 100% because for myself I think it would be better to rest him to avoid fu…

So who's going on Tuesday then? I'm looking forward to seeing my first live competitive match this season. Will Chris make any changes as it is a cup match? Maybe bring a few of the youngsters in and fringe players, I remember a few years ago Steve Thompson was manager and he played an almost completely different team for the League Cup to the team for the league matches and we were quite successful that year, can't remember how far we got but did quite well.

Finally!!!!! Home game and against such a huge European team. It's odd how a Turkish team enters European contests and yet their national side enters African cup of nations. I can recall reading them attempting to get classed as a member of E.U - Divided between Europe and Africa. Regardles we'll be playing their best league team (who are like United over there!) I hear that our friends @shrewswill and @friendlyshrew side lost to them, I hope for our case we can do one better. Wouldn't mind losing but to score would be nice! I actually think if we controlled the game, we might be able to sneak it but of course I've said this and I jinx things. Personally I wouldn't r…

The last of the friendlies! After this Ladies and Gentleman the season starts and it all becomes important. We can finally reflect on the football we've seen and hopefully we can share the positives, as I have seen many myself. This game we will no doubt see Chris stick to a side he would have as his first 11. So most likely less changes during the game or at least, we won't see any until the 70 minute. Ipswich will be a good test, although I don't not rate them. I really hope we can go into the season having beat them, yes friendlies don't mean much but it can be an added boost. One which might tell our boys to go into Sheffield knowing they can win, which we can. We …

So any hopes of making it out of the Europa League stage has now been dashed, although an impressive performance by the lads against Galatasaray means we have a share of optimism ahead for the new season. I hope to see scenes like against them, fans cheering and singing the lads on and of course the clapping. Very encouraging! Rayo aren't a side to be dismissed easily, although some might not be fimilar with some of their squad players. They do have a couple of power-houses who can punish us from long range or close. Not really bothered about the outcome, not for this one. I hope they have some traveling fans tho! Think we can win, though a good performance would be th…

JJK vs Notts County. There's been quite a few positives comments, especially surrounding two trialists. If we win tomorrow, our tour of Finland would be an hat-trick and a very successful tour. The weather, bonding and confidence gained cannot be knocked! Just picture your work place having a staff trip, even if it was only to the end of the road you'd most likely be happy to get out of your normal surroundings! Obviously, I realize Finland is quite some distance. I've enjoyed reading up on it! Can't wait to the real tests though! Very excited about them.

Kemi Kings are third in their league, so it's a fairly decent result (despite just being a friendly). No team wants to lose on home soil, so it's a good test. Tervarit have only been in existence since 1994 and they're lower down in the league table. I don't quite recall the position, although it's definitely the bottom half. Hopefully we can see more of Andy Haworth, he scored two of the goals against Kemi Kings. Would also note that it would be nice to try Waite up front, we need to see what he can do and the squad doesn't look that bad. It's funny how 3 signings can change the prospective of some fans, although Andy and Malcolm didn't exactly change much it was the n…

I've just got back from physio, well I picked up Jake and a slow walk back (thanks to Ava). I logged into FB, noticed a status by Notts saying Leacock had scored early on. I went to check their wall, realized he had scored again! Notts seem to be doing well, I wonder if anyone of our fans traveled. 2,500 stadium and so our tour begins. I also noticed Haydn Hollis mentioned that they had their first training session, so defiantly looks like a good thing for the club. Personally, I had hoped we get off to a good start with these games.

Here's hoping we can end on a high with a third straight win tommorow. Coventry's season was snatched from them and they've been in poor form ever since, pretty confident. If we play like we did last weekend there's no reason why we can't win. Hope you all have a good day, make the most of it it's the last game for a few months. Where's the season gone eh? Dosen't seem like a few weeks ago we were at Crewe on the opening day. I'll be off to Arlesey Town for Weymouth's final game of the season. We've got nothing but pride to play for but Arlesey could make the play-offs with a win. It's set up to be a pretty exciting final day in the Southern League with 4 teams fight…

Have to say well done County in this final played at Bescot Stadium. You were very well supported (easily half of the crowd were from Notts) and made yourselves heard with terrific backing. The 4-2 scoreline to Saddlers don't give a true reflection of the closeness of the game. With Walsall 2-1 up and awarded a penalty it was looking a bit ominus for County but a terrific penalty save then a goal scored at the other end forced the game into extra time. I thought the referee had an absolute stinker and gave some very strange decisions. Sitting amongst the County fans, I fully sympathise with how the ref did at times to be biased towards Walsall. Some of your bookings were …

I had to go down town today, so I took advantage of being there and had a nice walk to Meadow Lane. We've got our tickets sorted, so this will defiantly be Ellie's first visit to an away game (despite now telling me she isn't going). I think the fact Kate won't be coming, it makes her a little nervous but if Jake can be fine around new people I know Ellie can. Not only is Jake excited, I am. I think this will be the game to give the players a good sending off, which I'm sure Coventry will also be but hopefully if Doncaster gain promotion we'll see them become inspired. With the football from the previous game (Colchester) I think there's much more to be positive about, …

I wonder how many expect to win or even draw? I wouldn't write either us or them off, yet I feel they'll come looking to get the better of us as you would expect. They'll probably be looking for the ups more than us, interesting comments coming out from some of our own players. Think consistency and a boost of morale would be nice, although it's a shame that it's now unlikely to impact our season. I think focus needs to be on the new season ahead, those out of contract need to prove themselves. Big day! The return of dear friends @Italian Magpies !! Can't wait, hope it's a nice day. I think it will mostly rain tho. 1-1 I think.

Will be making the hour or so journey to Dean Court for my final Notts game of the season tommorow. Have to say, realistically I'm expecting us to lose and not really cuase Bournemouth too many problems, but hoping to have a laugh, have a bit of a sing-song and generally just have an enjoyable day out. Determined to make the most of my last Notts game of the season Then again you never know in football do you? Remember Notts County v Bury last season? Bury had nothing to play for, Notts had everything to gain but Bury came and turned us over 4-2. The tables are turned tommorow and we'll be playing the role of Bury if you like. Who knows? I just hope we go for it.…

It looks like Pilkington will remain in goal, yet I would not be surprised to see Bart instead. Just read the O/S, not a fan of their site without sounding negative. I had hope to read the match preview here, although I will make do with the official one. I see Yeovil being a real threat, they know how to put a team out within a budget and have some handy players. I see this one being a draw at the best, I will hope that we can win but without any real upfront threat I just don't see it.

Another difficult match.Again one where a draw would normally be seen as a good result but 3 points are needed today to keep any hopes of a playoff place alive. It will also be a pointer to how CK is progressing,Meanwhile The Rams play completely different opposition this evening in Bristol City and here 3 points are expected,Good luck all.

Swindon Town will be a good test for the remaining games, as we face teams mainly around or higher. (bar Colchester) I was looking at Swindons form prior to writing the 'view of our upcoming games' and they look pretty solid despite their troubles, if they can keep things as they are it would be a good thing and I truly expect them to carry it out. I just hope they don't hit us like a cannon, if they're brighter and score, I see a repeat of Hartlepool minus the fight back at times. Really, I do hope we can overcome this and finish strongly. The lads need to believe and push for wins 1-0 to them I fear.. You?

Hopefully this won't turn into an ugly game, I'm a little concerned regarding what happened the last time we played them and the resulting conflict. I hope both sets of players respect each other and focus playing the game, it's certainly one on our day we could win. I didn't see them struggling to this degree, so there's obvious roots to explore in order to beat them. I hope Chris chooses a side that's more stronger on paper, I have nothing against the likes of Blyth but he didn't send out a message and I would of preferred to see Zoko or Arquin up front myself. Hamza, I don't really have a concern with but the formation was also a little odd. I would of thought Chris …

With Julian Kelly looking doubtful, Cofie unlikely and Dean Leacock suspended (10 Yellow cards), Notts will face a difficult trip to Crawley with only 3 points separating the two sides.

Tomorrow,Wed 6/3/13 Notts entertain Leyton Orient who are just one place and two points lower down the table. It is therefore vitally important for Notts to put in a good show and get another 3 points to keep above Orient and try to close the gap towards a playoff place. It may be necessary to'grind' out a result but whatever COME ON NOTTS.Meanwhile I'm watching Man U on tv and listening to Rams away at table topping Cardiff. We need some points as we are in danger of being dragged into the relegation battle.

They don't appear to be in-form, quite a few concerning comments from some of their fans seems to suggest they're concerned about getting relegated. The manager also seems to be in denial about the performances they've put in, so on paper it would be close to us when we had Curle in charge apart from the relegation well to some extent. Should be a great game! Hopefully 90 minutes of much improved, rather than 45 but Chris can make this count when he sends the lads out. 2-1 to us. Your thoughts?

At the start of the season I don't think many teams would of considered this 'big' or 'important' but to Tranmere's credit they've been great this season, they've beat many odds and although some people think they're on the down now I personally do not! I think they've got a good manager who knows what each of his players offers, they don't have a bad side either. I think we need to remain positive from the game against Bury, hopefully that would of rekindled some of our players hopes. We can't allow any side to break, attack and score so easily. Bury's goal was great but we allowed it to happen, so I'm hoping Chris see's we need to get tighter and man up. I think the s…

Tomorrow night (friday)Notts play Bury who are stuck in the rlelagation zone.It should be a chance for Notts to pick up 3 valuable points and if they can put in a good performance in front of the Sky cameras it may encourage some stayaway fans to return to Meadow Lane.If Notts do win it will keep them in contention for a play off spot and put pressure on the other teams near the top. I hope to be attending.what will be my first competitive Notts match since Notts played Man Utd in the old first division all those years ago so they had better play well!!!
