During a Press Conference the Chosen One Jose Mourinho declared that in Two Years Time He wants to Return and Coach again in England. But Get This' At a Club that is at the Bottom of the Table, Who's Not Playing in Europe. He Didn't State Which Table, I Presume he meant the Premier League and Not League 2 or the National League (that would be Fun). I Can't picture him going up to Carlisle on a Freezing Cold Winter's Tuesday Night, for a Rearranged Fixture after the Original Fixture had been called off, due to a Frozen Pitch. And if he ever went to join a National League Outfit, they'd have to Sell All Their Players, Their Stadium and the Ground it was Built…

Glasgow has four professional football clubs in the City, the old firm, Celtic & Rangers, then two other clubs, Queen's Park & Partick Thistle. But there used to be a fifth club that was quite famous founded in 1872. One of the founder members of the Scottish football league, a club that won the Scottish 1st division once, & Scottish Cup twice, & as late as 1961 they finished third in the Scottish 1st division & played in Europe. Unfortunately the club fell on hard times soon afterwards & due to mismanagement, went bust & were expelled from the Scottish league in 1967. The teams name, Third Lanark AC. The Club played at Cathkin P…

I know what you're thinking are Pep and Jose that Good? What are you some Kind of Idiot? Of course they are look at all the Titles and Trophies they've Won between them. This is of course True you only have to look at their Wiki pages and see how Good they are and I'm Not Denying that, but there's something that Bugs me about both of these Football Managers/Head Coaches and that is During their Careers, neither has really ever had to Struggle at any team they've Managed both have gone to Big Clubs where Money was available and having as Much Cash as you need to buy the Players you want, isn't in my Opinion the sign of a Good Manager/Head Coach. Pep Guardiola. Th…

England's Harry Kane became the highest scoring Englishman in the German Bundesliga when he he scored his 41st goal for Bayern Munich against Werder Breman. Despite his goal scoring record both in the Premier League and now Bundesliga, why are a lot of English fans still harping on about the Guy has never won any Silverware. He may not have won any team trophies (as yet) but he certainly has a good collection of Golden Boot Awards, and his Goal scoring prowess is certainly up there with the Best. It appears to me that should any England Star in Football (or any sport for that matter) become famous for any reason, because of their natural talent, the First thing the …

Did you know, one substitution for an injured player was allowed in English league football for the first time, from the beginning of the 1965/66 season? Goalkeeper Mick Rose, who made 109 appearances for Notts between 1967 &1970, became the first ever player to be substituted for an injury sustained in a match (21/08/65) when he played for Charlton. He was replaced by Keith Peacock who became the first substitute to replace an injured player. Only injured players were allowed to be substituted during the first two seasons following the introduction of substitutions. But it became apparent, that some players were feigning injury so a tactical sub…

"Cup shirts" are yet another scourge of modern football, but perennial Bundesliga strugglers VfL Bochum have managed to take them to a new level. This summer, Bochum unveiled a special light blue cup shirt with "HG 4630 Bochum" printed on the arm. This was part of a sponsorship with the famous singer Herbert Grönemeyer, who comes from the city. About 4,000 fans ordered the shirts, only to be told they would have to wait until October for delivery. Last weekend, Bochum played in the first round of the German Cup. As you guessed, they lost. And they weren't even allowed to wear the shirts due to a colour clash...

So Now We Know. The real reason for England players tiredness is Uefa. The Governing Body is being Sued by the Top Leagues in Europe because it's over Filled the Footballing Calendar with To Many Matches. Which has Resulted in Players becoming Tired and therefore have a higher Risk of Getting Injured. What the Premier League Fail Realise is that they feel it's Ok to send it's Top Teams to Play around the World in Money Grabbing Pre-Season games. Teams fly half way round the World to play games in Asia, Australasia and the Good Old U.S OF A. Their players aren't too tired for those Matches are they? A ticket to watch Manchester City play in the US will cost the Americ…

  16. International football teams don't play regularly like club football teams do. When Clubs try to sign the best players they usually sign just one or two at a time, so the balance of the side is not really affected. New players attend training and are moulded into the side over a period of time, not always, some are selected straight away, but a side can easily absorb that new player. With the vast majority of international sides, the Manager selects the best players from that Country and tries to mould them into a successful team So can the squad of an international side numbering 25 of the best players be coached & moulded into a great team, with…

  17. The British style of playing football which is a direct style, employing the tactic of getting the ball upfield in the quickest way possible, with the least number of passes, also known as route one football. Opposed to. The Continental Style that employs the short passing game, using all parts of the field to move the ball upfield. All the team need to be comfortable on the ball. So which is your preferred style? We know that Notts employ the continental style, but I believe Notts should mix it up and use both styles of football depending on who we play, the weather conditions, the state of the pitch, and the state of the game. Regarding our national …
