Czech second division team I saw on Sunday at Zbrojovka Brno, played 10 games so far this season and only scored 5 goals, but have only conceeded 4 and currently have 16 points. has any other club ever managed to get 16 points (4 wins and 4 draws) from only 5 goals scored? (4 x 1-0 wins, 3 x 0-0 and 1 x 1-1 draws and a 1-0 and a 2-0 defeat) Not entertaining, but what a defence!!

We players like Ronaldo, Messi , Neymar have big egos but other players do as well. So my question is do players care/think more of the name on the back of the shirt rather than the front .. ie the badge.

Good decision by both Ronaldo and Real Madrid, he needs a fresh challenge and I think he would do very well in Italy. Fee is quite insane for a player of his age but he will make Juventus stronger, they really should further strengthen their squad up though.

Champions league final just a few hours away it’s no secret that Mo Salah has been Liverpool’s man of the season. But Ronaldo has been on his normal path of destruction in the champions league so tonight the two heavyweight clash as Liverpool take on Real Madrid which one of these two players will steal the show? Which one is better ? Who will get the winners medal ?

It's been a while since the last update so here it is. After heartbreakingly missing out on promotion to the third division on penalties, Waldhof Mannheim made some good additions to the squad and went into this season with the clear aim of making the play-off for the third season running. It hasn't gone to plan, however. The team has often looked bereft of confidence, not helped by the tactical inflexibility of the manager. After seven wins and six defeats and with a big gap opening to second place, manager Gerd Dais was given his marching orders last week - the first time Waldhof have fired their manager mid-season since 2007. Ex-Frankfurt and Besiktas midfielder Michae…

I know this isn’t going to be popular in some quarters but… Mo Salah is a tremendously gifted footballer, a talismanic figure for his club this season. He, more than anyone, was representing hopes of the fans that had travelled, and yet… He suffered a suspected dislocated shoulder, and maybe some ligament damage in the shoulder. For goodness sake, this was a final, the biggest game he has played in, maybe ever will play in. If it’s a mid-season league game, you come off, if you’re a bog-standard right-back, you come off. If you’re player who has scored a third of his club’s goals this season – you don’t come off. If you’re the only player on your team with the wit, vi…

So the big day is upon us - the Champions League final between JUVENTUS and Real Madrid! As fixtures go, I really don't think you can go any higher than this - the biggest, most famous, best-known and most successful team in world football against... Real Madrid. Now, I've just found out that BT Sport will be showing the game for FREE online (if you're based in the UK) so... it'll be a good un! This is BT Sport's YouTube channel so just visit https://www.youtube.com/btsport and it'll take you to their landing page, where you can then select a number of options - 4k or VR (I'll just click whichever and see what works lol). So yeah, cancel all other plan…

Just when we were all bracing ourselves for yet another trophy for Bayern, something delightful and unexpected happens. Recommended viewing (hope the video works in the UK). This was Eintracht's first trophy in 30 years, so understandably there were absolute scenes! What the video doesn't show is that fact that the referee consulted VAR twice. Once for Eintracht's second goal, as Bayern claimed a handball in the build-up. That was given as Kevin Prince Boateng attempted to move his hand away from the ball. Then the second time when Bayern claimed a penalty with the score at 2-1, which again wasn't given although Boateng (again) clearly took out Bayern'…

So on Saturday 26 May the Champions League final takes place, with an English team taking part for the first time since 2012 (when Chelsea won it). The previous four years, Spanish teams have dominated proceedings - Barcelona and Real Madrid claiming all four trophies, with Atletico Madrid making it an all-Spanish final on two occasions. Only Juventus have broken the Spanish stranglehold but both times they were heavily beaten by the El Clasico duo. Atletico Madrid have won the Europa League this year - will the Spanish capital lay claim to both European trophies this year? Or will Liverpool do what they did in Istanbul in 2005 and upset the odds? …
