@Chris is having a break from posting, but he’s still carrying out many of his responsibilities. He’s utilising a new feature that indicates when members are away. You can find this in your account settings. Please do leave a bit of a reason, you don’t have to share too much but it’s nice to know that members will be coming back, especially in such a close-knit group. If active members suddenly stop showing up or visiting, it can lead to worries about their health and so on. We advise members to use this feature so that others will have an idea of when to expect you back. Remember, you’ll be missed.

Over this week, I aim to get this up to 70% ready to see the site upgraded, and once I get back from my family break. I will get that percentage higher, so we can get the community on track. There are errors with articles, the store and icons need sorting, but I hope those who see this early stage see how much better and quicker the site is.

You may (or may not) like this game, the idea is to connect words in a certain number of guesses. It can be frustrating because sometimes they throw in American things we don’t necessarily know. Here’s the link https://www.nytimes.com/games/connections Today was fairly easy I got them all with no mistakes. Connections Puzzle #217 ???????????????? ???????????????? ???????????????? ????????????????

Good morning, a new week, I hope everyone is well. Its a cold morning at 1.7 degrees outside, our snow is still lingering a bit on the garden and roofs but hopefully the roads are now clear, we’ve got a bit of sleet at the moment but it should be dry later. I hope we can get out for a walk if it’s dry. How’s everyone else coping with the weather? Keeping warm I hope. Have a great day everyone.

I noticed on the Notts county Supporters Facebook page someone is offering a free Notts badge tattoo. Have you got a tattoo? Have you got a Notts tattoo? Personally I’d never have any tattoo but I’m old fashioned, I think they look horrible especially on females but I know lots of folk like them, our grandaughter is in the navy and she has several tattoos on her body, she seems to have a new one every time we see her which is a shame as she’s very pretty. Whats your views on tattoos?

Devastating wildfires in California have already killed five people and destroyed thousands of properties. Apparently, many of these fires have been started deliberately. Malibu is one of those areas that has been badly hit. Hundreds of firefighters are trying to bring these fires under control, but they are being hampered by very strong winds that are fanning the flames from property to property.

Morning all, I should have started this yesterday my days are all mixed up. Well it’s New Years Eve and it looks like it will be a wet one for those out and about celebrating, I used to go to town to celebrate years ago but not now, we’ll probably be in bed but awake reading or watching telly. Mrs. T has this strange custom of opening the back door and front door, something to do with letting the old year out and the new year in, so she can do that while I lay snug in bed. Have a great night and if you’re drinking don’t overdo it.

The M6 Toll road was built using pulped Mills and Boon novels! About 2,500,000 of the novels were pulped at a recycling firm in south Wales and used in the preparation of the top layer of the West Midlands motorway, according to building materials suppliers Tarmac. The pulp which helps hold the Tarmac and asphalt in place also acts as a sound absorber and is vital in the construction of roads. The project manager for the M6 Toll, said the books' absorbent qualities made them a vital ingredient in the construction of the country's first pay-as-you-go motorway. "They may be slushy to many people, but it's their 'no-slushiness' that is their attraction as far …

My New Year resolutions: To accept myself as I am and stop trying to be what I’m not. To eat as healthily as I can but have the occasional treat. To keep fit and continue my park runs even though I get slower every year. Anyone else making a resolution? Why not resolve to come on PoN at least once a day and make at least one reply or new topic.

Good morning, it’s Christmas Eve. I hope everyone has got enough food and drink to last them because the shops will be shut all of 12 hours. We’ve got about 12 days worth I think. ???? The family will be arriving with a load more food and drink later on so we’ll probably have enough to see out a nuclear winter. Have a great day everyone, Christmas is not always a happy time for everyone so I’ll leave this here.
