  1. With the Euro's now in full flow and England and Scotland having different experiences and some of the shocking Results England and the Home Countries have had in Past Major Football Tournaments what if all the GB FA Authorities could agree, do you think a Great Britain Side would do any better in the Euro's or World Cup. But more importantly, would team GB Get The Support?

  2. After writing a piece regarding the G.O.A.T Player. I thought I'd give Fans the Chance to name their G.O.A.T Manager. I have only included Managers who have Managed in the Football Leagues of the English Game as I'm Not an follower of the European Leagues. So here goes with my Selection. Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Matt Busby, Alf Ramsey, Brian Clough Bobby Robson, Arsene Wenger, Alex Ferguson Dave Basset and Jimmy Sirrel. It isn't all about Winning Trophies but what a Manager brought to a Club. Bill Shankly. Turned Liverpool around pulled the Club up by it's Bootlaces and began building the foundations of the Liverpool Winning Machine. Won 3 Division 1 til…

  3. With topics on the PON website such has the Best and Worse England manager, the G.O.AT Manager the Home Internationals have come up. Remember them ? I certainly do the clashes between the Auld Enemies England and Scotland, plus Wales and Northern Ireland and memories that those matches provoke, such as (I believe and correct me if I'm wrong) Scotland being the First Team to beat England after their World Cup Victory 3-2 . The Goal George Best scored against England by literally kicking the ball out of Gordon Banks Hands. So my Fellow PON Members let's have your memories. But more Important Would You Like To See The Home Internationals returned to the Football Ca…

In a season which Promised so much at it's beginning only to falter and Fall away, the one player who impressed me last season was Aaron Nemane who despite the drop in the Teams over all performance went about his footballing business in a quiet and professional way and seemed to improve as the season progressed he scored goals, one of which was voted as the Goal of the season by Fans. And if he can carry on in this rich vein of form I can see Aaron becoming a Big Part in Notts push for promotion this coming season, and the Notts Big Three ( Macca, Jodi and Dan) could quite possibly become the Big Four. The thing is with Aaron like Jodi he's no defender he's no big…

  6. With the signing of New Players the Opening of the Nest, the construction of a New Pitch things are in Full Flow down the Lane, in readiness for the Start of the New Season. With all this Going On it seems the Notts Head Coach has sort of Faded into the Background. Yes he's spoken about New Players and the appointment of Macca as the Magpies New Captain. But what about the Man himself, nobody has sat down with him and asked what kind of pressure he's feeling going into the New Season after all his current Results Record is Very Poor. How difficult as it been adjusting to becoming a Full Time Coach and how hard was it stepping into Luke Williams shoes, after what he achie…

  7. Another addition to our defence tonight. Notts are building a side that can challenge for promotion next season. Our defence clearly needed strengthening and now we have two players that will make Notts much tougher in defence

It appears to be a regrettable choice, but there are superior alternatives available. I’m simply glad that we supported him through his injury, as it demonstrates our class. Unfortunately, too many teams discard a player when they suffer a serious injury.

  9. Here We Go. A Nice Simple Question for all you Magpie Fans. Would You Like To See Notts County F.C. In the Premier League?

  11. Right then, here we go. The most important position in Notts' summer recruitment. Baldwin and Brindley have been released and Rawlinson has been transfer listed. That leaves us with Cameron and Macari. One left footer and one right footer. In my opinion we need 3 right footers and 2 left footers. The recruitment has to be spot on in this position. They need to be able to defend their box, but also be comfortable to play our style. They have to have the required strength, height and athleticism. We also require more leaders. With that in mind, here is the list. Notts have been rumoured with Riley Harbottle and it would make sense as he has played under Stu…

So, played 19, won 5, drew 3, lost 11, gf29, ga34. Not great. It's fair to say we've all got our opinion of Stuart's first few months at the Lane, some more warm and some cold. By all means, the results haven't been good enough and neither have quite a few of the performances. However, there is a few things to take encouragement, especially our form from MK onwards and bits said at the fans forum. Overall though, things must pick up if we are to challenge for automatic promotion. Scott Lindsey's record after the season he kept Crawley up was: won 6, drew 6, lost 10, gf22, ga32. Then look at them after he had a summer to recruit and look where they are now. To …

Does anyone know of a website showing an all time list of Notts appearances and/ or goalscorers? I've tried long and hard with no success and find it frustrating that a club of our history has nothing, surely someone must have that info?

  14. Just reading on the Notts Website Macca as been given the Captain's armband for the up coming season. So raises a couple of questions, 1) Does this mean the Board are confident there will be NO Offers from other Clubs, that will cause Macca to leave the Lane? 2) Why? Firstly I can not believe that no other Club higher in the Football Pyramid would not come in for Macca and surely it would be better to wait until the Transfer window is closed? Before appointing a New Skipper. Or is it that Notts have put on price on him, that has put off other Clubs bidding for him? Secondly while I have the utter most Respect for Macca, his job is scoring goals. That s…

Here's an Idea. Get rid of the Premiership, by that I mean leave the Prem to it's own devices. The EFL need to break away from the FA and control the Championship League 2 and rebrand the National League League 3. Yes I know it isn't that simple but I'm sure Fans on this site and other sites and Football Fans in General could come up with a Blue Print that could work and engage with Fans and let them have a stronger say in the running of their club. My thoughts 1 A maximum Cap on Transfer fees. No player to be sold for more than £10 million. 2 Players wages set at a maximum figure of no more than £15,000 a week. 3 Do away with the Transfer window Transfer deals allow…

  18. With the Advance on a almost daily Basis, could there ever be a Time when Football Clubs are Managed or Coached by Artificial Intelligence?

  19. Have you seen the England Squad, that Southgate's named for the Euro's? What Do You Think?

  20. Started by Robbie,

Notts have a new goalkeeping coach, Steve Collis.

  21. The Term Manager seems to be slowly being eradicated from Football, to be replaced with the unflattering position name of Head Coach, and along with it the power or should that be a bigger say in team affaires, that a manager had. Interestingly the New New Man at Liverpool Arne Slot is the Head Coach, unlike his predecessor Jurgen Klopp who had the title of Manager. With the New name it also seems that a Head Coach is just that a Coach and it appears that unlike a Manager a Coach does Not have as much influence on things within the Club he works for. It comes across that a Head Coach doesn't have as much say in the signing of players, sure he can put forward his ide…
