Notts have signed Keiran Freeman on loan from Derby until March. Great news, he'll slot straight back in.

Nottingham Post Article; JAMAL Campbell-Ryce can't believe Bartosz Bialkowski is still at Notts County, but says: "I'm glad he is." The Magpies' Polish No.1 has been in great form this season, despite the club's struggles in League One. And Campbell-Ryce is surprised he's not been snapped up by a Championship club. Notts have only kept four clean sheets in the league all season and Bialkowski has had to pick the ball out of his net 37 times in 24 games, but he has still made lots of super saves. Bialkowski, who is under contract at Meadow Lane until 2015, claimed his latest shut out as the Magpies beat Bradford 3-0 on New Year's Day. And while Jamal Campbell-Ryce, …

His name being mentioned on lots of places now as a new possible for Notts. Not sure about this one at all. Never mind the puns on his name, he seems to think he is better than all the other attackers at whatever club he has been at... hold on... that suits Notts perfectly. nothing wrong with believing the truth!!! sign him up!

For me, Dean Leacock is one of our big players. He's someone I expect a lot from, mainly due to the fact at this level he should be reliable. This season he hasn't impressed me much at all, there's been times we've needed him and he's lacked any sort of interest. Some performances have been blamed due to injury, tiredness and even being ill, however for me - for such a big named player we haven't missed him. He should be the type of player exactly how we see Gary Liddle. Massive blow for us, our fans discussed his absence and was probably the main thing I heard yesterday (a-side from Jack & Callum future with us). Deano just hasn't been the same player this season,…

Full Article: Here ----My Thoughts---------- I really don't understand why we signed him in the first place, very limited chances with us but looked okay. I am sure we can find better and I am glad that Derry is getting on with business. Fine tuning the squad is very important! I'm just surprised that Notts haven't announced his release, so for now I'm labeling this as a rumour. Hopefully more news to come soon! Thoughts?

This seems to have been overlooked, during Shaun Derry's post match interview Colin Slater asked about this rumour. Terry Dolan - I have no idea who he is or what he offers us as the chief scout. I've heard he was a good footballer in his day, does anyone know more?

I am sure he has some connection with Notts. I am only about to start reading the 4th chapter but already I believe he has mentioned Mad Dog and Steady Eddy ( not by name ). On page 25 and 26 he says: "A new manager needs to stamp his authority on the squad quickly, and to achieve this very often he will sacrifice a player, as was the case at one of my clubs. It doesn't matter if the player is capable and well liked (actually, these players are the preferred targets). The process generally involves the player being singled out for ridicule in training and made an example of at every opportunity, before being sent to train with the kids and ostracised from the first te…

Given that we all assume that there will be significant transfer ins & outs who from the non-league would you like to see us sign? For me we need a central midfielder who can not only tackle but can also pass the ball, so that player has to be Andi @ Thanoj Grimsby Town, how he is still in non-;league is crazy and from what i've been told he soon won't be as a big championship are after him.

http://www.nottinghampost.com/Notts-County-want-bring-Derby-striker-Callum-Ball/story-20399810-detail/story.html I dont see what the lad actually delivered to the table, he did not score. I would rather see Haber return, who started for Stevenage today. What did Callum Ball offer us which Murray, Coombes and Co dont?

Joss Labadie has rejoined Torquay United on a month's loan. He went to TQ1 towards the end of last season, scoring four goals and helping the Gulls retain their League status. Labadie will go straight into their squad for tomorrow’s game against Morecambe at Plainmoor. What do you guys reckon to this development? Can we really afford to be losing a first-team member for a month? Is it part of a larger malaise? Thoughts please!

"Manny Smith backed to take latest chance at Notts County" I personally would give him the chance - Sheehan is great at CB and LB, I'd like to give Leacock a rest myself once Sheehan can return to CB. Manny's seemed a little slow getting into games but reliable in my opinion. Your thoughts?

We might be left in a difficult situation come the next few weeks. Mac and Grealish return to parent clubs, leaving holes along side the holes already there. Possibility of a bid coming in due to his exceptional form do you think? Sell or keep - you decide!

Credit to Nottingham Post website. This must be a done deal, we have the advantage of already having them so we could tie this up. We need to convince the parent clubs that we're helping them develop as players and giving time - I am convinced if we sell the positives and get the players to add their two cents, we will see this play out until end of the season with us. Only problem I see is if we leave it too late and attempt to tie things up similar to as we did with Montano... We allowed him to go back thinking we could re-sign him if we required him, when that came in... We battled against other sides and lost out, only to bring him back and the spark he had was los…

i was talking to a friend a moment ago, they told me about something that happened in uniteds game against spurs. it got me thinking of funny things i have seen notts, share one of yours. a funny moment of the top of my head was a time ck went to kick the ball and slipped, he didnt really fall or anything but just the way he reacted to failing to control the ball. he seemed very awkward and our fans chanted to him about it which made it all the more funny. he did really move around the dugout after that

Who's the worst ref to oversee a Notts game this season? Surely a case of Williamson (Walsall - Away) vs Breakspear (Bristol City - Home). I'm torn between the two!!!

The oldest football club NOTTS County is the oldest football association club in the world, dating back to 1883. The club started out by playing its own version of the game because it predates the Professional Football Association Board, which was not established until 1886. Until 1864, the club played in the grounds of Nottingham Castle but, as it began to play against outside opposition, it needed a bigger venue. It settled at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground in 1883 and eventually moved in 1910 to The Meadows, where it still plays today. The famous black and white striped shirts, which gave the club its nickname, The Magpies, date back to 1890 when the strip changed from am…

NOTTS County want to re-sign Kieron Freeman. The transfer window reopens tomorrow and Magpies' boss Shaun Derry says he will make another loan move for the 21-year-old Derby County right back to bolster his defence in the club's battle against relegation in League One. Freeman moved to Meadow Lane on loan back in November and made a big impact, helping Notts to two wins and two draws in seven games. But his loan with the Magpies was cut short because of injuries at Pride Park and he left on Christmas Eve. Derry admits losing him was a blow, despite Mustapha Dumbuya being fit again. Notts lost their two games over Christmas to slip back to the bottom of the table ahead of …

Greg Tempest - He's shown a good learning curve, pretty sound and a player I'd like to see feature more. With more game time I see Greg easily being the type of player we require to produce. Tyrell Waite - From what I have seen (which is all his main features) he's a very gifted forward. He can pass, make space, run, take on players and importantly he's shown signs of knowing how to score. Curtis Thompson - He's a little raw and almost school boy like but when he gets the ball, he isn't afraid to take on players! He's looked very mature and gifted in some games, especially when played in midfield. At Liverpool he shown no signs of nerves and helped us on our breaks agai…

Looking through this site I noticed a thread on away travel in which some fans were asking for experiences of coach travel to away games (this was under away travel & match tickets, but as no one has replied since feb I thought it better to add my thoughts here). As shall we say a veteran traveler(I have done well over 90 grounds with Notts, many numerous times) I have sampled most forms of transport. Train When they ran specials)was by far my favorite but now can be very expensive & unfortunately some clubs still have a hooligan element who enjoy waiting at stations so be careful!, car is fine if there are enough of you to cover the cost of petrol & parking bu…

For a minute, let's assume that a single signing would save Notts from relegation. Who would this signing be and why? It can be someone who would realistically come to Notts or someone who is completely out of our league.

I mean players by the way! After reading that Liddle might be out for a perlonged period, I think maybe it's time shaun released a few of the players who haven't contributed and tried to wrangle a few players coming in which he owns rather than loans. Thoughts on who to release and why?
