This is another positive move by the club and should be applauded in my opinion. Free travel to away matches for under 16's. http://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/article/free-travel-for-under-16s-1100366.aspx

The home game against Oldham has now been rearranged to a Tuesday night 29th October. There will probably be 1,000 less people there than at a Saturday fixture but that is the price we pay for having internation players I suppose.

Today is the day that my 5 year old Grandson makes his first (I hope) visit to Meadow Lane. It is something I have dreamt of for a long time our eldest Grandchildren lived away so I never got chance to introduce them to the highs and lows of being a 'Pie. So this will be really special for me, it can go one of two ways, he will either hate it and after five minutes proclaim in a loud voice that "this is boring I want to go home" or he'll love every minute and when it's finished say "that was great Grandad, when can I come again". I will bring some of his books, a packet of sweets and crisps but if you see a dejected old(ish) man dragging a screaming 5 year old out if …

As I am working nights this weekend & the Millers are away at Brentford, the local games don't interest me, & Notts are kindly putting on a cheapie, I thought i'd grace ML with my presence for the second time this season. Looking forward to it, & i'll give my opinion of the game afterwards.

Notts County have forged links with The Mercure Hotel in Nottingham, the Hotel formerly the George was were discussions first took place which resulted in the formation of the club. The George also holds fond memories for me as when I was an apprentice in the Printing Trade many moons ago our firm always used to have their Christmas Dinner and Dance there. Full story on partnership with Notts here http://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/article/notts-secure-mercure-partnership-1088128.aspx

I've just seen this story in the Nottingham Post, apparently Notts could be poised to take over Arnold Town's Eagle Valley Stadium. http://www.nottinghampost.com/Notts-County-going-Eagle-Valley-Stadium/story-19873290-detail/story.html

I've learned to respect him a lot, I think he did a fantastic job at Burton and Derby (both local clubs). I did feel he moved up a little too quickly but no doubt the championship is suited to a manager of his ability, I feel he's unlucky to have been sacked (as we've already discussed). Now I've tried giving CK time and whereas I won't directly bring negative comments, I would hate to miss a debate. Would you take on Nigel Clough as Notts Manager? Honestly, I've grown tired and I feel we're losing more than we can afford too. CK's long vision plan could be far away - He might never resolve the defensive issues we have but he's got us for the time been being able…

Not impressive, quite the annoyance for actual fans and whoever runs this account deserves to have it banned. It's clearly not a parody, it's been setup in mind to trick people and it's not acceptable in my opinion. For anyone wondering what I am going on about? Well someone or some people, have set up a fake twitter account which matches the official clubs. They put this up.. #BREAKING Notts County have this morning regrettably accepted the hand written resignation of first team manager Chris Kiwomya #Notts Full Link

Today's the 5 year since the death of our most legendary manager Jimmy Sirrel, I'm saddened that it seems to have bypassed some and although his memory lives on. I strongly feel that legends never die! R.I.P Jimmy

Joe seemed to think that a change of manager could be on the cards following your recent results. Had you lost and this had happened you might now be seriously considering our (STFC) previous incumbent. Or ..... maybe The Rams feel a change would improve their home form. Just a couple of thoughts for you to mull over.

How important are these two young players to us? Do you want to see us attempt to extend their loan periods? I've only see them play together at Tranmere, where no doubt McGregor was quieter than normal. McGregor deserves an extension by his performances so far, I think it's important for youngsters to enjoy their football because skill etc becomes natural when you do. Learning wise, he's in a good situation as we're starting to build from the bottom and it will help him on some many levels (I'm not even going mention how much he can help us - It's obvious). Grealish dominated Tranmere, he looked like a player well in his prime and different to McGregor. Grealish appear…

For those who haven't received this message, here is Ray's rallying call. Firstly I must apologise for the length of this note, but I feel there is a lot that needs to be said. I wanted to write to you on the eve of our game against Tranmere Rovers to firstly thank you foryour previous and hopefully continued support of Notts County Football Club, but also to reassure you that nobody here at Meadow Lane is in any way satisfied with how our current campaign has unfolded to date. We’re nearly two months into the season now and it’s fair to say that things haven’t gone the way we would have liked, but I hope that I have shown in my relatively short time at No…

Full Article | Here For me we're weak in Midfield, he provides good cover and in form he would be hard not to play. I don't understand why we don't try to get the most players ability and the consistency spot on, so that they can take care of themselves from that point on. We just seem to release them and move and it's not always the best option! Some will be glad, some like me will be disappointed. Life's like this and so if he moves we need to accept it but I just feel we need him right now.

Signed on emergency loan. Through trial by wikipedia, Haber doesn't exactly look like a goal scoring machine, to say the least. But I'll reserve proper judgement until I've seen him play. As for Grealish, who knows?!

Depressed by County's start to the season? Well spare a thought for fans of Northern Irish Premiership side Ballinamallard United. Their result today? Portadown 11-0 Ballinamallard United No financial meltdown, no youth team being fielded. These two finished side by side in the league last season! Just remember, no matter how bad things seem, it could always be worse

Next weekends match away to Leyton Orient has been postponed due to a number of International call-ups. It's a shame for me as I might have been going, would have been £25 on the train. Still, it'll give us a free weekend and time to regroup a bit

I listened to last night's match talk and a caller said that he had heard that Mrs. Trew was abused by some fans after Saturday's match and he wanted to apologise to her on behalf of decent Notts County fans because she was apparently really upset. He hadn't witnessed the incident but had heard it second hand, I really hope this isn't true, don't these people realise what a huge debt we owe to the Trew's especially Mrs. Trew who persuaded her husband not to put us into Administration when it seemed the logical choice. If @erindoors reads this I hope she will realise that the majority of our fans are decent people and the people who abused her (if true) are not real No…

I'm delighted to see a fellow Irishman join Notts and very excited when that player is of the quality that Enda Stevens is. Enda played in the group stages of the Europa League for Shamrock Rovers and made a handful of appearances in the Premiership. He's a solid defender and will attack at will. He's a bit like Seamus Coleman who plays for Everton.

Notts' purple and yellow away kit has been nominated in the top ten worst kits in the country. See this article. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/vote-which-club-has-unveiled-the-worst-kit-for-the-new-season-liverpool-and-barcelona-among-the-contenders-8733952.html?action=gallery&ino=9 Personally I don't think it is that bad, I have seen worse.
