I see the pitch is being relaid at the moment. I hope they are seeding it with some good hard wearing grass because we will have the men's team, the ladies team and the rugby team all playing on it next season. I hate to think what it will look like in January next year.

Jeff Hughes has decided not to sign a contract extension at Meadow Lane and his instead signed a two year deal at Fleetwood Town, allegedly with a six figure signing on fee. Surprised he's joined Fleetwood and very dissapointed we couldnt keep hold of him myself. Whilst he may not have been as sharp last season as he was the previous season (although he has been in and out and played here and there) he seemed to be re-discovering his form towards the end of the season. Always very reliable and a great asset to us. Can see this being a case of not quite realising what we had until he leaves. Still, best of luck for the future Jeff!

Liddle want to swap number with Bish. He would like to wear number 4 instead of number 8. Bish can come back at his 10. I think he also gonna leave the Club in this summer. I prefer number 8 as Liddle reminds me my fav player Marchisio (Juventus number 8), but he says number 4 is for defenders, the role he wants to play

According to Alan Sheehan on Twitter, our very own Bart Bialkowski has made the league 1 team of the year. Massive congratulations to him, he's had an outstanding season and is in my opinion one of the top young keepers in the football league. To think we got him for nothing from Southampton is quite remarkable. Congratulations Bart, throughly deserved!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that on the same day as David Beckham retires from football Stephen Hunt has also hung up his boots and retired, just shows how short a career football can be. I thought at one time that he had the makings of a top player and apparently Sven Goran Errickson rated him very highly (but then what does he know?)

Greg Tempest has today been called up to the Northern Ireland Under 21s squad. Massive cognratulations to him, that's two Northern Irish Internationals we have Greg clearly has something about him, and it just goes to show how much fantastic work is going on at the new Centre of Excellence, or Academy - whatever you want to call it. Mentioned on Radio Nottingham this morning apparently the board have appointed a new director, I think his name is Mark something, he has invested an unspecified amount into the club. Some of you may be aware that earlier, a Scottish Premier League game between Kilmarnock and Hibernian was abandoned after 53 minutes after a gentleman in his fifites collapsed on a stairway and required medical treatment pitchside. CPR was administered before he was taken to a local hospital. The match itself was abandoned after being suspended for 25 minutes. Police have recently confirmed that the gentleman sadly passed away in hospital. It's very sad news and I think it really puts things into perspective. I dont know if there are any other football programme collectors or enthusiasts on this site but I sure am! I try and collect every Notts programme home and away, started last season. Also collect all of Weymouth's home programmes as I write in them, but just the awa matches I attend with Weymouth. Anyway, I need a bit of help. Would anyone on here happen to know if a programme was produced for Ian Richardson's (RICOH, RICOH!) testimonial match? Hamza was always most likely to be in this situation. I wonder if he knew before, as this could explain his lack of performance, he seemed sharp and useful when he first came back. I hope all the above sign new deals, will hope to see what happens in terms of signings.

Sad to see Kelly leave, a good player with a good attacking flare. He was a decent wing back but Liddle has proven he can fulfill the same role but with better defensive skills. Striker John Cofie has been released by Manchester United and is now a free agent. He showed good promise when he was Notts and managed to grab a goal. But is another young striker what we need? I'm unsure. We certainly need an experienced quality striker but could John Cofie add to our fire power? Ben

There's some good players in our youth system, I feel it's good to see us 'developing' them and with the right push, hopefully some can play a bigger role in our first team. Kyle Dixon had a pretty good game last Friday against Walsall, he reminded me Neal Bishop with his calm collected way of playing. He looked up for it, often making up for the odd mistake he made also. He's confirmed that a professional contracts been offered and I personally hope to see a few others follow in his foot steps. When was the last time we pushed our youth system like this? Surely it's the early 90's to the late 80's?

I bumped into @jurgenpie in the navi, he mentioned that he would be attending and I had wanted to go but I don't like being out of sorts. I ended up going, it was nice. It's things like this which will do 'family clubs' proud and the cost being £25, two course meal was easily worth it with the amount of fun I had. Bish has been a fantastic captain for this club and I am sorry to hear that he has decided to stand down from the role. He came on as a substitute yesterday and Leacock offered him the armband and he waved his hand to indicate Dean could keep it. I hope this doesn't mean he won't be with us next season. He does seem to have been unhappy this year with managerial changes and taking comments by a few so called fans to heart. He has always given 100% on the pitch and there has been some memorable moments including scoring a fab goal against Man City and he also likes to use his backside but they all count! Thanks for being an inspirational captain.

Transfer news: Notts County midfielder Neal Bishop attracting interest

I've just realised I am going to miss the last match of the season at Meadow Lane, I am really annoyed with myself. I arranged a meet up with lots of motorhome friends last year and about 60 vans are meeting up the last weekend of the season. I swear I checked the fixtures before setting the date but obviously I got it wrong. What do I do? I can't let all my motorhome friends down but I wanted to go to the last match, Damn, damn, damn, damn. I'm just thankful that it's not resting on the last match for promotion or anything, that really would have been a dilemma.
