Having put a few what some might consider negative posts on I thought I would put on a more positive post. Are you a lifeline member? Do you buy a 50-50 ticket at the match? These are important revenues of income for the club and can pay dividends as I have found. A couple of years ago I was surprised to receive a phone call from my wife whilst I was at work, fearing the worst (because she never phoned me at work) I asked her what was wrong and she said nothing was wrong in fact quite the opposite, the postman had just been and we had received a check for £1,000 from Notts County. I never check the lifeline numbers so was really pleasantly suprised when I won the…

I was saddened to seeing the players being booed during the game, at half time and at full time against Preston. OK, I was as frustrated as anyone at the level of performance and had a moan to the person next to me and even come on here and moan about it but to boo the players especially during the game is in my opinion counter productive. They know they are having a bad game and don't choose to go out there and deliberately lose to wind the fans up. So let's give them a break and try and support them through the bad patches, encouragement works far better than booing. If fans really feel the need to boo then I wish they would do it after the final whistle.

I was talking to a chap at the match on Saturday and he said that when Curle and his two assistants were sacked it was purely a money saving exercise as Notts are in financial difficulties. According to him we were never going to appoint another manager and CK was always going to get the job because he was cheap. He also pointed to the transfer of Hughes and the failure to sign a suitable replacement as another example which backed up his theory. I do hope this isn't true as I couldn't bear another term in administration with all the worries that brings. Any thoughts?

I really like sitting in the Kop, it feels more 'together' then the Pavis does. (not solely down to singing) People are actually speak without looking at you oddly for doing so, I really feel I've found where to sit in the future. If Cheeky and Ava come, obviously it will have to be the Pavis but it's nice how friendly everyone has been including the stewards. To me it looked packed in both the Kop and Pavis, look far more than 5k. I would of said 6.3 myself at the lowest and the Carlisle fans came in decent numbers too. Very friendly, a couple spoke to me and one even asked if I was okay as I waited outside the club for my brother to return from buying Jake and Ellie s…

Former Notts County player James 'Jimmy' Jackson has died aged 81. According to the former players association website he made 113 appearances in the famous black and white between 1951 and 1957, in which he netted 47 goals. Sounds like a brilliant servant to the football club. Rest In Peace Jimmy, thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

The lack of activity on the manager front seems to be odd, I didn't see it but apparently our CEO who's name escapes me (old age you know ) was interviewed on BBC East Midlands last night before the game and he said that Notts are in no hurry to appoint a successor. Is it possible they are waiting for Neil Kinnock to get the sack at Leeds? I'd love to have Neil back. Any thoughts?

Bishop will have served his ban for the next match I presume, so would you put him straight back in the team? They haven't actually set the world on fire while he has been absent so I for one would put him back in and drop McMahon. Mind you Bish is one of my favourites, I'm going to have a signed photograph on my wall soon, courtesy of this great site.

Here are the latest odds on our permanent manager, who would you like out of this list and who would you definitely not want. I would like: Steve Cotterill, second choice Phil Brown I would definitely not like: Steve Evans Steve Cotterill did a brilliant job before and I believe he could do so again. When Rotherham played Notts recently I sat behind the dugout and I thought that Steve Evans and his assistant were the most obnoxious individuals I have ever seen in our away dugout. So no thank you to him. Anyway pick your choice from below: Chris Kiwomya 4/6 Steve Evans 11/4 Gary McAllister 8/1 Gary Johnson 12/1 Gary Megson 16/1 Nigel Worthington 16/1 Derek Mci…

Curle, who took over at Meadow Lane in February of last year, was informed of the decision by Chairman Ray Trew on Sunday afternoon, in the wake of Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Hartlepool United. Notts have won just two of their last 11 games in all competitions, a run that has seen them drop to 10th in the npower League 1 table, five points off the play-off places and Mr Trew felt that a change had to be made, with Curle and first team coaches Colin Lee and Colin West relieved of their duties. “This obviously is not a decision that we have taken lightly and certainly not one that I have taken any pleasure in reaching, I have a tremendous amount of respect for Keith C…

Well a lot has happened while I have been away, Curle sacked, over the river McLeish walked, Notts in the High Court, we've lost a game and drawn a game and signed a new striker. I also noticed that I didn't get enough votes to win the main prize booo!!! All that canvassing and kissing babies was to no avail. Ha Ha. Now where to start. Disappointed that Curle was sacked, I thought we were going in the right direction and felt a bit sorry for him. I don't want to criticise Ray but I do think he has jumped the gun, what happened to the stability he was talking about creating! I'm not surprised agent McLeish walked, what a shambles they are in over the river. …

You have signed a very a talented young lad from us on loan. He's got good control, he can plays on the wings which he has for our youth/reserve team. He'll out run most players with his pace, so fingers crossed he'll be a good addition to your squad. I can't find anywhere confirming this yet http://www.skysports.com/football/player/0,,11667_437627,00.html

What on earth is happening with the club! I have been a fan since my husband introduced me to NCFC nearly 8 years ago, and it has been one hell of a roller coaster There have seemed to be more downs than ups too, I must add. Then I just read the official club statement about our chairman being in court tomorrow regarding the winding up petition. Personally I must have forgotten about this, as I would have thought this would have been commented on during December when this was issued. But it seems Notts have ALL the bad luck. Whether it is with managers, munto, players on and off the pitch antics, issues with staff at the ground on match days (a personal issue w…
