Social media saying that Notts are close to signing 6 ft 4 ins Gambian forward Alassana Jatta. Would he be a good capture?

Defensive nightmares 1st Gill goal Really unfair to blame Warner when Baldwin is caught not marking 2nd Gill goal Baldwin again not marking 3rd Gill goal...player comes back from offside position in front of Stone?

I haven't witnessed much success for Notts, but under the Reedtz, we finally resemble a club striving to progress, thanks to hard work behind the scenes. So, why can't some fans just be content? Why the rush for promotion this season when we're on the right track? Why scrutinize some players more than those making zero effort? I might be too young to grasp this, but I felt more hope when we were relegated from L2. It seems backward and odd. I dislike going on social media to read fans criticizing the players. It's unjust when the club is striving to be its best. Do we just have some terrible fans, or is it football in general? Stuart Maynard deserves a chance, and those a…

I didn’t realise so far how badly we’ve fared against the current top 10 this season. We’ve played 12 games against the current top 10 and we’ve won 1, Gillingham away. We’ve drawn with MK once and Barrow twice. The rest we’ve lost. So that’s a current record of PL 12 W 1 D 3 L 8. Do you think it will improve in the coming weeks? We’ve only got Wrexham to play away from the current 10 and the other 5 remaining games are all at Meadow Lane. Or are you bit worried that the losses will slowly pile up, are the good teams in league 2 this season just too good for us?

Watching YouTube, a video from 'Magpie Goals' came on, and it was highlights from the 1994 game against us and Nottingham Forest. It mentioned how we had signed a player (Colin Foster) unfamiliar to me on an extended loan for another month from West Ham. He was described as 'a tower of strength in the magpies defence'. The loan move suggested that we were trying to raise funds to sign him permanently for around £175,000. I assume we didn't manage to raise the funds? I'm not sure if Mick Walker lasted much longer beyond this point - not without fact checking. So, as a talking point - what memories do you have of this? Did you think Notts should have signed Foster…

Notts C 2 v Middlesbrough 0 at Trent Bridge 1902. Notts won but you don't see anything of the match, just the cheering crowd, however it is great history footage, demonstrating that supporters who loved their club then were just as passionate as they are now 122 years later.

A few of you might have received a survey from the club about a possible new standing area. As I'm only a very rare visitor these days I'm not sure it's my place to take part, but what do you all think? Personally I much prefer to stand, and I think the lower Kop would be perfect.

I've been watching the Newcastle document recently and one episode included the fan group WAR flags. Essentially a fan funded group dedicated to improving the atmosphere in the ground with things like flags, banners and big displays. Its a massive thing across mainland Europe especially Italy and Spain and we are now seeing it creep into English football. Although painful to admit, our red neighbours do a fantastic job with the Forza Garibaldi group. Newcastle have WAR flags, Aberdeen the union bears, Juventus have Bianconeri and our neighbours Forza Garibaldi. With the drive to create a better atmosphere at Meadow Lane do you think something like this…

Charlie Colkett has joined Notts on loan until the end of the season. The 27-year-old arrives from Crewe Alexandra, bolstering Notts's central midfield options for the remainder of the campaign. I think this signing till the end of the season is a good move by Notts, Charlie is a left footed central midfielder that has plenty of experience playing in higher leagues. He Captained Chelsea's successful youth team as a youngster. He's also played in Europe too. His signing gives Stuart Maynard more options in Midfield and increases the competition for places too.

Notts have now played their 27th game of the Season, since their return to League 2. They finished last season on 117 goals from 46 Games in the National League plus the 5 goals they scored in open play in the two playoff games. So in 73 league games since the beginning of last season, not counting the playoffs, Notts have scored 177 goals, a remarkable number, which relates to an average of 2.42 goals scored per game, & with our current style of play & our current attacking force, there seems no end to it. If this current rate of scoring is maintained, Notts will surpass 100 goals again this season, which would be a fantastic achievement. The …

Saturday was the first time I've seen Aaron live. He gave a masterclass in wing play. My friend was telling his son to copy what Aaron does next time he has a game. I'm looking forward to seeing what Aaron can do in L2 next season.

A lot of you won’t have been born when this team played, one of my favourite Notts teams, what a great season it was.

  23. Started by DangerousSausage,

To date, Notts have played 4,986 games in the Football League. So, alongside all the nice things we have to look forward to like the Checkatrade Trophy and a trip to Crawley, next season will also see our 5,000th game in the League in about October. We won't be the first club to hit this milestone, but it would be great if the club made an event of this. Hopefully we're at home! By my reckoning we've also played 13 games in the playoffs, which would put us on 4,999. But I'm not sure you can count them.
