The day after being totally outplayed by a league 2 team at their place, all be it, being totally outplayed once in nineteen games played this season. I want to inject some positivity by saying that Notts are only three points away from the play off places with 27 games still to play & 81 points to play for. Notts under Stuart Maynard, have suffered a catalogue of player injuries over the last few months with key players out of contention Notts have slipped down the table, but it could have been a lot worse. Up to eight key players missing for a period can have a big effect on a teams performance. The remaining players have done very well to remain…

It's great to learn that Dan is back, whether in the starting eleven, or on the bench for the Salford game

Jack Stevens looks like a decent player who could be a good fit for Notts. Notts County should look to repeat Macaulay Langstaff trick with non-league raid in January FOOTBALLLEAGUEWORLD.CO.UK Notts should look to non-league once again in the January window.

Concerning that Jodi limped off near the end of the match against Gillingham. Stuart Maynard talked about it during his post match interview & intimated that the Club will assess his injury on Monday. Will be very unlucky for Jodi & Notts if he is out for a while. What's more concerning is that the injuries to players are mounting up. There is good news that Cedwyn Scott is on the road to recovery, so is McDonald & Ness, but Jatta has had a recurrence of the effects of his head injury, Edwards out till at least Xmas, now Jodi. Just hope that Jodi's injury isn't serious & he won't be out for long. He'd be certainly missed for his creativity.

A team with six of their best players unavailable & a seventh on the bench & coming back to full fitness will always struggle. There is not a manager or head coach in the league system who will not struggle with seven first teamers unavailable. The players that are left have done a great job keeping Notts in touch with the leaders, despite the large number of injuries. Stuart Maynard has been able to keep Notts in the top six by getting the best out of those players, who would have been on the bench under normal circumstances. When those magnificent seven return to full fitness. Stuart will have a very big selection headache to solve & that…

They certainly don't make things to last nowadays. The old Meadow Lane Scoreboard stood throughout everything that mother nature could throw at it.

how many games do you think you will make this upcoming season? i know it might be hard with postponements to guess, but roughly it would be good to know what other members of pon might be able to make. all the home league games i should be able to make. i am hoping to complete my second season of all the away games too, but some might be difficult with work. if i cant make them all i at least hope to be around 40 games.

With Jodi Jones injured (albeit coming back in just over a month) and Nick and Kellan being the only available options out wide, with Sam Austin filling in on a few occasions and Josh Martin looking like he will be on his way in January. It is obvious that Notts need creativity and pace from out wide. Notts missed out on a wide player on deadline day in August as well. With this I have compiled a list of players for us to potentially look at in January. Zero assists may look bad on the stats but Ellis Taylor has been vital for Harrogate this season in creating chances and has a decent expected assists (Xa). He had an excellent game against Doncaster. Jack Holme…

Here's a conundrum PON members. What's your strongest team when everyone is fit? Hopefully in January all the injured players will return & be available for selection, but once Stuart has all his players back, he will have a big headache.. Who does he pick for his starting 11, & Subs bench, & who does he leave out? If I had to choose this would be my starting 11 & players on the bench. Bass, Platt, Ness, Bedeau, Jones, Abbott, Palmer, Tsaroulla, Crowley, Grant, Jatta. Subs, Didzy, Edwards,Macari, Robertson, Scott, Austin, McDonald. Those players missing out would be Hinchy, Cundy, Gordon, Martin &…

As I discovered on the internet today (which we all know is never wrong), we have lost a total of 1,950 league games, which is more than any other club. Barnsley and Grimsby are next on the list with about 30 fewer, albeit from not as many FL seasons. Unfortunately, we've been a bit rubbish for a very long time. Perversely, I feel a bit of pride in this as it means we've A) been around for a very long time and B ) we've been punching above our weight for a fair part of it. What do we do if we hit 2,000 first? Have a party to drown our sorrows?

Well my fellow PON Members. That is the question. Can Notts get Promotion in 2025? Notts have made a great start & with a quarter of the season completed they sit in 3rd position in the table on 26 points, with just 2 losses in 14 matches. Notts have shown improvements in the defensive area that has seen them only concede 12 goals in the league, which is less than 1 goal a game on average. Notts have continued to demonstrate, that although they lost Langstaff before the beginning of the season, they haven't lost their potency up front, with 22 goals scored in the league up to now. Notts have all the all round attributes to make a challenge this se…

Notts had a very busy transfer window in the summer, Eleven signings in the close season & three after the season started. Players that helped Notts get promoted from the National league were released. So we are nearly a third of the way into the 2024/25 season. So my PON colleagues, which player or players out of the 14 players that Notts signed this summer have made the biggest impact in your opinion? I didn't include Jatta because he was signed in January. A reminder of the players that were signed. Robbie Cundy, Matty Platt, Jacob Bedeau, Rod McDonald, Lucas Ness, Nick Tsaroulla, Kellan Gordon, Alex Bass, George Abbott, Jack Hinchy, Curti…
