Bye Bye Arquin, Jordan And Fox

Arquin gone to Scotland for a trial with Ross County.

Both Charlton lads gone back to parent club.

Might leave us short a left back, meaning Sheenan back to LB?

Also no mention of Fozzie leaving yet. What a shame!

NOTTS County will not be extending Morgan Fox's loan at Meadow Lane.

The Wales Under 21 left-back has returned to Championship club Charlton Athletic after a five-week loan at Meadow Lane.

And Magpies boss Shaun Derry says he will not be coming back.

Striker Yoann Arquin could also be on his way out of the club, having been on trial at Ross County.

The 25-year-old has not played for Notts since mid-November and was also a spectator as the Scottish Premier League side beat St Johnstone 1-0 on home soil last Saturday.

Charlton Under 21 captain Bradley Jordan has also gone back to The Valley with Fox, having joined Notts on loan deadline day at the end of November.

Midfielder Jordan did not play a play for the Magpies, but Fox played seven times, making six starts.

He also scored the first goal of his professional career as Notts beat Colchester United 4-0 in League One in mid-December and helped them to three league wins.

"It was very hard for them to adapt to the level we are at, not so much Fox, but Bradley," said Derry.

"Bradley came in and perhaps wanted to play a bigger part than he did.

"What I would say is – and fair credit to them – they came with a freshness and an attitude that really helped us as a group.

"As much as there was disappointment from Bradley's angle, I'm hoping he will go away better for the experience of being out of his comfort zone and for Fox he came in and played in three wins so that's great for him.

"He'll want to get out on loan again, but we're looking at different options."

arquins time did seem up, the others being loans its not major if we replace them with quality. i think fox was okay but nothing special and we could find better i suspect.

If there is a fee involved @notts-joe , it will be us paying them to take him!

I'll pay his train fare if it gets him to stay there. Maybe he can get Fotheringham in his suitcase too!

This could backfire! They might not be impressed if Yoann is not keen on the move, he might be..... Well, erm, a problem.

Yeah, I don't know. He might have an attitude and I will hold off making judgmental comments when I haven't watched his interview but if he's said this openly. 1) I hope it get's a reaction out of him - 2) He avoids doing it again in the future and 3) We don't need any negativity right now...

No matter how true or not it is, especially from the manager.

From what I've been able to see, it's a shame that Arquin couldn't have realised his potential a bit more for Notts, but I guess that's Div 2 players for you.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just to let you know, gentlemen and women, Arquin had a first class debut for Ross County, that in his partner Jordan Slew, who we got from Blackburn, harassed and battered the Dundee Utd back 4,both dropped back and helped midfield, also Arquin helped the defence, when United had corners, and to top it off, scored on his debut for the club, I have a passion for Ross County as you can gather (nickname of the Staggies), also aware that Mansfield Town are called this as well, got an uncle from there, hence his support

Wish you all the best for your season, and if you want, can keep you updated on Arquin

Oh so you're a Ross County fan! I didn't realize, it's good to have another Opposition fan on board.

Don't be a stranger though, it's always great to hear from our 'residents' and how there respective teams are doing. I personally hope Arquin finds himself and enjoys playing football, good luck to your club.

I'd be interested to hear how he copes with the weather up there!. He used to wear gloves in August to keep him warm!

Wonder if steggie will be saying the same thing in 6 months time or even more in 12 months from now.

First Impressions are  very important. Pity it's deceiving.

I guess a good luck wish is in Order & yes please do keep us up to date

We're all intrigued

Arquin up in the Highlands of Scotland.

I can imagine him like the Michelin man running around in a tailored sleeping bag to keep warm
