On Saturday 22nd July Notts County travel to Boston to take on the Pilgrims.

How many players, managers it coaches etc., can we name that are linked to both clubs?

I’ll start off with two former Notts players who became managers with Boston.

Arthur Mann managed Boston between 1984-1986 and he was succeeded by another former Notts player RayO’Brien who managed them between 1986-1987.

Mick Vinter started his career at Boston United before signing for Notts as a youngster. I think that’s a good start to this.

The player I am going to mention was one of my favourites from the Munto era, Ben Davies.

I will add Pierce Bird, there's quite a few obvious ones.

Your memory is better than mine @TheSkipper I have to google most things these days.  It’s better than the old days before the internet when I had to go to the library. ????

He participates in a lot of charity football, so I remember hearing him being interviewed where he spoke about Boston United. I wasn’t completely sure, but I felt fairly certain.

Notts signed Lawrie Dudfield from Boston United.
