Hi everyone. Next Saturday, the real football starts again. But more importantly, so does the PON prediction league!

For the uninitiated, every matchday I post eight (or six) fixtures, everyone predicts the results and I post the scores. And at the end of the season, the champion is crowned. This is usually @ARLukomski, but I've decided I'm going to win it this time. 

I've started this thread to work out how many people would be interested in taking part this season. And I have a question too: when we decided to taste the delights of the Vauxhall Conference in 2019, we switched from six to eight fixtures to accommodate the NL. Should we revert to six now that adventure is behind us? (This is a non-binding referendum and might also depend on how many people take part.)

So who's in? ????

I am up for the Prediction League. It’s something I need to commit to and make sure that I do it for every round.

Well sadly you are both going to be disappointed because my names on the trophy, I’ve given you a few years respite but I’m back with a vengeance and I’ll wipe the floor with “a certain other member”. 
It doesn’t matter what format it takes because I’ll win anyway, so bring it on.

I might join just for a laugh at my guessing... Not too sure yet and if i actually remember to do all the times.

@DangerousSausage gives out reminders and  I usually end up reminding @Chris too.He still forgets sometimes though.

Good stuff! No one should feel like it's a solemn obligation to take part every round, it's just for fun so you can dip in and out as you please if that works better. But obviously, the more often you take part, the better chance you'll have of a good placing ????

@JIMBO I post the fixtures at least two days in advance, and I do reminders here and sometimes on Facebook too. You can also follow the Prediction League subforum so you get alerted when fixtures are posted. But it shouldn't be too hard to remember this season - if Notts are playing, there'll probably be a prediction league round as well. I'm planning to post the first fixtures on Wednesday.

It's fun for you lot, but for me "accidentally" deleting your points managing the prediction league is a solemn duty.

Now you've owned up, sure I should have had 30 more points than what I ended up with
