i still dont think their penalty was the right call, i see rawlinson with his foot out but their player seems to be looking to go down. i cant make out the contact, at the game it looked like a dive. just like deeney did earlier on and was not booked for diving despite it being clear.

notts really made it harder for themselves but the result is all that matters.

Deeney thuggishly barging into Bostock, without a response. ????

Deeney spinning around trying to convince the referee he was fouled, he should have been yellowed for that. Clear diving!

Three defenders on Deeney, none of which could block the ball. It's quite poor. I don't blame Stone here!

Their second goal, Stone can be blamed because he wasn't watching the ball. He looked like he had spaced out at a key moment, but defensively again it was poor.

You’ve got to admit that at this level Deeney is still a great player even though he is nearing the end of his career, similar to McGoldrick for us, these players have played alongside the best players in the top division and have a wealth of experience to impart to lesser gifted players.

The highlights from Forest Green are indeed impressive, with the low angle lending a contemporary feel to the match. It’s clear that Connell Rawlinson did clip their player, but it seems he was justified in his attempt, making the decision appear severe. Their player wasn’t poised to score a goal and even handled the ball after contact was made. If Rawlinson was the first to make contact, I would dispute the decision.
