It's seldom I say this about 'connections' but for once I thought it was quite easy.I understand your annoyance @Fan of Big Tone.I bet you felt like kicking yourself when you saw the solutions and you can't blame obscure americanisms

    I got the green line almost immediately and the orange line a few minutes later.I couldn't get any further ,so I nipped down to my local shop before it rains.I came back and still couldn't get any further so I had something to eat.I returned to connections and almost gave up when I got a lightbulb moment for the purple line.My perseverance paid off today,but I would never have got the Blue line without the other three  lines.Mind you I always thought it was forest red but that wouldn't be an American connection would it.Better luck tomorrow  @Fan of Big Tone

    They double bluff as well @Fan of Big Tone .With me it takes a while for the penny to drop even when the answer's obvious.I have to be careful not to dive in too soon but check if there are alternatives that fit.It's good fun though and keeps the very (old, ancient, antiquated, antediluvian) grey cells in good working order.:rollonfloorlaughing:

    I agree  @Fan of Big Tone.The orange group was fairly easy.I'm getting as sneaky as connections with the purple group.Having got 2 lines it helped with the remaining 8 words.The answers are so annoyingly obvious when they are found though.
