    Lowest turnout ever for a general election? I seem to know more people that are refusing to vote than ones that will. I’ve never seen such a pathetic bunch of options available and spoilt ballots or independent candidates could be the runaway winner.

    Sunak keeps coming up with blinders. Now he wants to reintroduce conscription for young people. What, with just 70,000 full time soldiers. 

    This is just another policy that hasn't been thought through.

    We need a professional Army built up with volunteers. Conscription will just weaken it with the Army at its present size.
