I used to regularly buy The Pie Fanzine it was always a good read and because it was produced by supporters rather than the club it very often was quite controversial and told things from a fans point of view rather than the club line.

@Fan of Big Tone I even still have the "banned by Pavis" Garry Birtles edition... featuring Birtles injury excuses????

I believe the club threatened them with legal action at one point and they had to hurriedly remove all the copies on sale.

I loved the Pie. At the time, pretty much all writing about the club came from the club or from professional journalists anxious to keep good relations, so any criticism was muted. Fanzines were a breath of fresh air. Ours was very funny and superbly written.
