Hi all, back in 2010 I purchased 1 of 100 commemorative bottles of whisky celebrating 100 years at Meadow Lane. It's in the loft for the grandchildren. Has anyone else got one, there were 100. Has anyone opened it? Is it a decent dram? I've done a search online and there's no record out there.

Going off on a tangent, whisky matures best after around 26 years.... 

I remember the Trews offering a 150 year old whisky. I love whisky but I am too price sensitive.... or a skinflint!

Seriously though, was it 100 years old?

I’m more of a gin man but I hope the grandchildren enjoy the whiskey if you haven’t drank it first. 

I'm quite happy with Islay malts from Aldi or Lidl. Really unsure about long aged whisky "investments"

@super_ram are you going to become a gin man? @Fan of Big Tone might be able to give you some tips on what to try. like aviation gin?

@super_ram is more of a real ale fan, which I am too but you can like gin as well, as long as they’re not in the same glass.
