Notts County Women meet Leafield Athletic at Coronation Park Eastwood on Sunday 20th October at 2pm. Here's the gaffer with his pre match thoughts.

So today's opponents are Leafield Athletic who like Notts, have made a good start to the season after struggling last term.

Leafield have recruited well & it looks like they will be one of the better sides in the league this season. It will be a tough test for Notts today.

Notts will need to be at their best, & they need to be strong at the back and take their chances when they come.

Hoping for a Notts win but a draw would be a good result.

Update.

Notts 0 Leafield 0. 29 mins gone.

Update.

33’ Notts break through down the left, but their tame effort is safely gathered by the Leafield goalie.

Both defences standing firm at the moment. Chances at a premium at both ends.

Another good defensive performance by Notts in the first half, & they had a few chances late in the half too.

It ends with a narrow defeat, but the Notts ladies should feel proud that they ran Leafield so close and deserved a point on the play and effort they put in.

Leafield have now won 5 on the bounce and have not conceded a goal in that time. They are a top side in this league

The Notts Ladies are getting closer to these top sides.
