When I worked at the dairy and walked to work very early in the morning it was eerie ,even with street lighting.I loved it if there had been a couple of inches or so of fresh snow.This was easier to walk on than an icy pavement plus the snow made everywhere much brighter.I hated it ,though,when I walked home later on the same day because by then the lovely, fresh snow had become compacted by pedestrians ,especially near shops, making it like a skating rink.
