I agree with Jeremy Corbyn on this one.

If things couldn't get worse, they get much worser.

 

The Royal Mail is going to be killed off.

They are focusing more on parcels and that is a game which they won't win, they won't be able to compete with offering affordable packages. Whilst other companies get business from Amazon, eBay and retail stores. Only the cheaper deliveries will go to the Royal Mail. As someone who uses the Royal Mail to send out prints and merch, I am seeing them increasingly being replaced with better options.

The company that produces the PON shirts that I design, they no longer list Royal Mail as an option.

I have noticed when eBay is used, a lot less are being handled by them either. Once 90% of eBay came through the Royal Mail. It's now less than 10%, though I do wish that sellers wouldn't use companies like Evri (formerly Hermes).

I wish we could get the Royal Mail back as a public owned service, but even that wouldn't be the answer to the hardest things they will face in the coming years.
