December 23, 2024Dec 23 #2 MK Dons got a sound thrashing by Newport over the weekend, that could be either good because they’ll be low on confidence or bad that they’ll put up a great performance to show it was a one off. Should we be confident or fearful?
December 23, 2024Dec 23 #3 If I were Stuart Maynard and everyone who played against Bradford are fit, I would play the same starting eleven & the same players on the bench against MK Dons. MK Dons are good going forward, but they are also vunerable in defence, so I do think that Notts have a good chance of getting a result on Boxing day, providing they play well. Jatta was injured in the final minutes against Bradford, but hopefully he has come through unscathed. If not, McGoldrick will have to lead the line & I would select Brown to play behind Didzy alongside Crowley. A win for Notts would be great, but I would take a draw as it would also deprive MK Dons of the win too.
December 24, 2024Dec 24 #4 Yeah, I'm with @Fan of Big Tone. No idea whether we'll benefit from playing so closely, is it the start of a bad run or will they react and put in a good performance a bit like us against Bradford. That said I'm amazed they conceded 6 to Newport. When we played Newport, they could've played for 2 weeks and I think they'd have done well to have scored... I don't think MK will sit back though, so as long as we can deal with their attackers we should get plenty of space to hopefully hurt them. No idea where we stand with injuries but given we've got a good run of games in a short space, I'd want to change a couple of players - no idea who is and isn't fit though. And I hope Scott is ok because he seems to have just completely disappeared.
December 26, 2024Dec 26 #6 This came around quickly. I think Christmas speeds up the older you get. Anyway this is one of the toughest away fixtures in the division. The Fake Dons are a blight on football and I hope we crush them. Not very Christmas like but I know Jesus understands ????
December 26, 2024Dec 26 #12 Half Time. Mark Stallard: 'Even though it's 0-0 Notts have had the better of the possession and better of the positions.'
December 26, 2024Dec 26 #22 I think this win by Notts eclipses last week's win. Two goals, 3 points and another clean sheet, the eighth clean sheet of the season. Notts remain in seventh place after today's games.
