Pets Christmas presents

An interesting debate on the radio this morning. Apparently Christmas presents for pets are a multi million pound industry, people interviewed all said they were buying a present for their pet and one person even said they buy their fish a present!

We've got a cat, two rabbits and some fish but we don't bother buying for them, have you got a pet and do you buy it a present at Christmas?

stupid idea, just another way to get money from peoples pockets. its like chocolate for animals, give them what they are supposed to eat and treat them like what they are.

these people who put dogs in prams annoy me.

people the same people who go out and but a present, i dont see the point.

We don't have any pets and wouldn't buy christmas presents if we did.William and Vicky have a rabbit and some fish and they get regular treats.I agree with @liampie

You know I hate people buying me things? I'd rather have them wish me well, or family to see me.

I suspect animals would be the same, make a fuss of them. Don't go buying them silly things just for the sake of it, perhaps a new soft toy to bite but nothing else. It reminds me of someone i used to know who announced they had purchased christmas dinner pet food! LOL

The only thing I'll be buying for our mut will be a kennel to sleep outdoors if she continues to wake us up at 5 in the bloody morning. tried everything. More walks, bark collars, pheromone plug ins, no fuss, extra fuss.

Decided she's lost the plot as she is getting on a bit at 14, but it is irritating!

My fish will be getting fed. They don't care about Christmas!

So why does your bowl have fairy lights inside! Is that what they have been eating? :P

No, animals and pets do not care.
