I think Waldhof Mannheim's legendary 90s mascot Waldi deserves a mention here. Waldi inspired merchandise of such quality that images of it have been virtually extinguished from the internet, so I can only post this one, tiny pic. Also note the earring, which I think was supposed to look cool but was actually code for "not heterosexual" back then!
