Well next up for us is the trip across to Alfreton's Impact Arena Stadium... what do we expect, want, preferred approach?

oh yeah, and you watch Hawley will suddenly remember how to score...

Saturday 18th... 3.00PM kick off

ha ha ha, no need to worry about Mr Hawley, he has packed his little case and gone on holiday to the riviera

I had hoped to go, I still may but @super_ram hasn't got back to me or replied on here.

I'm looking forward to the game, it's our first real test against an opposition that do have real quality behind them. It should be where we start to see our starting 11 form, which I hope Moniz avoids using the rotation squads. Bring it on!

Looking forward to this one our first real test and i should be there hoping for another good win although i know we shouldn't take Alferton for granted.

Its just a friendly all said and done, but what happens is important otherwise we would not be playing.

I think we should be able to beat them.

Just looking at today's team sheet it has a couple of trialist, but Wes Atkinson is named! Does this mean he has signed?

I wouldn't have minded going but I'm still in the treatment room awaiting treatment

I will be watching out for the result with great interest.

3-2 Now Alferton seem like a good side wouldn't be suprised to see them in the conference premier sometime soon

Did anyone go,match report ?

I did. Sat with some Alfreton fans one very friendly and we chatted through the game others (including some OAPs) were very rude and abusive to our players.

Moniz absent again and I didn't think there was much direction from the bench.

Midfield and Attack we were good. Spencer, Swerts, Snijders, Aborah and Sarpong stood out for me.

Defence worries me although to be fair it's not really been tested so time will tell here.

Whilst we won and it was a friendly I couldn't see a Captain taking charge on the pitch and this needs to be addressed (Gill Swerts gets my vote).

I'd like to hear other opinions from those that went.

Regards Al

You Pies!

I missed this one as I was away (again I hear you say), it sounds like this was our toughest test so far, a good chance to try out different player and I glad to hear a couple of youth players got a run out.

However I was surprised to hear the manager wasn't present, where was he, doesn't he need to be keeping an eye on these games?

He was with his mother, who is seriously ill. I think he'll be back next week.

Oh dear, I just started a post about Moniz! :(

Good result beating Alfreton but it sounds like we must do better with our defending.
