Stuart brothers has taken Ralph Shepards job at Notts, whilst I don't doubt his media ability it does seem a strange appointment to me.

Thoughts?

Seems strange considering heleft the slo post only a while back. Surely.if the club relieved him then, then they wouldn't go back after the event unless...

I think it makes sense that the club would approach somebody known to fans and I personally wish Stuart all the very best, he will have a natural passion for the position and that will be a good thing.

@notts-joe should have gone for it, far more qualified.

Just to be clear, I didn't apply and this is despite people (fans) encouraging it. I want to be a fan, there's no desire for the role because it would limit what I consider to be a good match day experience. I say this because I like being amongst the fans, it takes someone special to be within the media side and I know that isn't me. It's a great opportunity and match day experience within it's own right, though I do belong in the stands.

Was he the former slo? I have no idea who he is.

The media team need to keep up a very high standard, a role which takes a lot of time and skill. I like your honesty @notts-joe.

Yes he was SLO for about a year, and he's also behind the Black and White fanzine and the Notts Blog. Speaks his mind, which is usually a good thing but could lead to trouble down the line!

Very odd, since supposedly he was asked to resign but rumoured to have been fired as the SLO. It makes you wonder how pally the queen bee is to certain people and this is nothing more than an effort to control him I reckon.

Good luck to him.

Seems an ok lad but still a little immature be interesting how he fears in a job such as this

I would have to give Stu congratulations on landing this role, from my limited knowledge of Stu, I think he may find it hard to keep himself in check.... He certainly has passion for this sort of thing and has made a good showing elsewhere...we shall see.

One thing above all stands out... This is Notts so you cannot expect anything to be dull...

Congratulations Stu, I hope it all goes well.

really? you must be kidding me.

@erindoors seems happy with her comments, well i wish him well. i do think being a part of the media team helps if you support the club but it depends on how lose of a cannon you are. it seems he must be a cat or just pretty lucky.

I'm not sure he can continue to do the fanzine AND the club's official communications. Fanzines have to vent their spleen at the club's management every once in a while, and he'll find his hands are tied. For example, if we start badly and Moniz is sacked in September, he can hardly criticise his own boss in public can he?

I do not like him as a person, he far too loud and rowdy. He acts like a child at most away games, drinks like a complete moron and says offensive things. As the SLO, I approached him, I forget which game and he totally ignored me.

No axe to ground here but editing a poorly put together fan zine barely constitutes as being good enough for a media role.

God help us.

He should do okay, its good opportunity for him.

In this type of role you need to be totally unbiased and not swayed by your friends, best of luck to him with the role.

More interesting is the fact people left, their replacement makes sense, albeit one serious mistake but perhaps he will learn? If he don't do well, it will look very bad on Notts' behalf no him.
