The kick off for our away game against the Stags on 16th April has been brought forward to 1pm on police advice.  

The game will be all-ticket.

That will be interesting, 1pm kick-offs feel strange but thankfully it isn't one I would attend. Hopefully there won't be any issues, no doubt @Dan will be able to slip through without issue.

It was awkward when we played them at Meadow Lane, young lads fighting - Mansfield fans throwing glass bottles.

You'd have thought it was the 80's still.

Deffinitely looking to come up for the weekend of this game again. Be nice if there's another game I can do on the Sunday. Earlier in the season me and my mate did our game on the Friday night then went home via Derby v Charlton on the Saturday

I was going to do Ch*sterfield v Sheff Utd for an hour then go to this game after as that kicks off at 1pm but this has completely ruined that. No other local games within a good distance to get to either. Not sure of the Sunday games yet.

going getting tickets no problem season ticket easy been every time we've played them.

As for moving to 1oclock is simple it stops fans getting drunk and so as pubs won't be open etc and wel likely be escorted by police to the stand.

Police will take no risks like when we played them they shut off the road were the away end was and I imagine kept them in.

what do mansfield fans think of the kick off change? sorry to read its affected you.

Its not a game I miss attending, mind you the ground has improved a fair bit I think since the late 80's.

@liampie Most of us were annoyed the same as you guys, mainly as it cuts down drinking time!! It's pointless making it a 1pm kick off because people will just go to spoons etc for 8am and start drinking quicker rather than pacing themselves, thus causing more alcohol fuelled problems for themselves.
