Curry wurst

Featured Replies

Every time I have gone to Germany I have had one of these

My question is where do you think has the best curry wurst?

I've never heard of a curry sausage before (I assume a wurst is a sausage or similar?)

I must admit to never having had a curry wurst, but I could tell you where I've had the wurst curry!

Best I've had is at home my missus does a mean curry wurst,  she picked it up in Germany when she lived there years ago .

You'll have @Blackville round for tea shortly!!

The best I had was in Cologne, can't remember the name of the place but it was near the arch thingy. You could choose the type of sausage and degree of hotness. I prefer it with bread so I can mop up the sauce afterwards.

It has nothing to do with actual curry - it's basically a chopped up sausage in a warm, slightly spicy ketchup sauce with curry powder sprinkled on top. Unfortunately many Germans seem to be under the impression that this sauce constitutes real Indian food.
