Mahon Staying?

Was at Notts this morning and saw Mahon there in his training kit, I thought he was leaving to the club he went on loan to?

I was under the impression he was set to leave, I don't believe we've offered him a contact. As he and Pearce's 'futures was uncertain', if he keeps his head down and trains hard, comes back to how we know he can. He would be useful to have the calm head, although last season I felt his legs had gone and wasn't the player he were previously.

Not against him staying, as his experience could help our youngsters but only if we secure regular starters first.

I can't imagine he's on all that much, though it needs to spend wisely. I'm sure Chris knows what to do :)

would welcome mahon staying, dont think he could be faulted but did look off from what we know of him. if he played a little more, his performance might improve.

No deal was ever completed with any other club. A lot of players have pre-season with their current/last clubs though. The season we signed Gavin, I recall Martin Allen saying that he had spent pre-season training with Watford

I've just watched Chris Kiwomya's interview on Magpie Player regarding Mahon & Pearce.

Mahon had no concrete offers on the table from anyone else. He wants to keep his fitness up so for the time being he's training with Notts and will join the squad on the pre-season trip to Finland. As will Krystian Pearce. Pearce may still have a future at the club, but it will all come down to finances - weather or not we can afford to keep him on but Kiwomya was pleased with the way Pearce played when he came in for the final couple of games at the end of last season.
