Shocking. Russia were bad, but SA made Mansfailed look good! They were rally poor and would struggle in the 2nd Division. When I think of some of the teams not there this time and the quality of some that are. Shocking!

I only saw the opening minutes and, for this reason it's impossible to judge the game.

Both teams are very poor though, yet I'm surprised by Russia claiming the win. Hopefully it will improve from here, yet I do think the first stage game are usually the worst - there's very little interest from towards watching it.

The quality of the game lasted as long as the opening ceremony. 

I thought both sides looked like  teams with half their first choice players missing.The game seemed like a practice match too, with little passion but a lot of emotion when a goal was scored.It can only get better-can't it?

Saudi Arabia looked very poor, but Russia should have done better. Its hard to see how they will progress that far when they play like this against such an average side. 

Only saw the last bit due to being at work. Is it worth watching highlights, doesnt sound like it. 

Yes, the game was short on quality but 2 of the goals were top class (even though the opposition were poor). But at least I managed to watch it until the end ! There have been games between top nations that have bored me into submission before now !

For the opening game Russia have set the standards for improvement, they did okay but the game did lack.

Not a bad game if u are a neutral .. but I think it will improve. 

I watched a bit of it in the bar on the ferry returning from France there were two excellent goals in there.

i was not impressed to be honest, both teams looked like they could have been easily beaten and if a better side played each other it could have been a killing.
