I’m shocked that itv or bbc haven’t shown Mike Bassett England manger in the likely hood that it’s the World Cup ... and I’m dying for a laugh .. has it been on or am I right. You 

ITV did that crap football sitcom with the other bloke out of the Royal Family.

I would have preferred Mike Bassett but maybe the writer didn't fancy it? I don't know, I liked the TV series and film.

I loved both!

The film was brilliant and it really took the piss out of a very poor England football team, I know people felt that it was quite like real life and the TV series reminds me of Notts under the Trew's. I wished they would bring it back but I think the ratings had part in its undoing, if I recall right it just wasn't doing well an I know other TV shows got in the way of it. It's worth trying to bring it back, maybe ITV will?

Agreed mate the actors in the film play better parts than the tv series
