Anything Italian generally, it's the nicest food that I know and I just love pasta.

Italian so rustic a beautiful country and food great choice mate

Well, where to start, to be honest I love lots of different foods, I’m not a fussy eater and I’ll try most things (except offal).

So, (don’t you just hate people who start a sentence with so) amongst my favourites are, in no particular order:

  • Mrs. Big Tone’s home made curry
  • Sunday roast lamb in particular,
  • seafood (prawns, cockles, whelks, mussels),
  • bbq’d food
  • steak and chips
  • chicken (bbq’d then left to go cold with salad)
  • Mrs. Big Tone’s home made roasted pepper soup (oh my god my mouth’s salivating)
  • fish and chips (of course)
  • pizza
  • cake (any sort)
  • pasta meals

I’ll come back to this thread if I think of any more.

I like steak and roast dinners, you can't beat them especially when its fresh and home prepared.

Oh I’ve just thought of another, slow cooked good quality braising steak and onions, it makes fantastic gravy, serve with creamy mash potatoes and a green veg of your choice, don’t forget to have some bread ready to dip up the gravy. Heavenly.

My dad used to have bread with his Sunday roast or any meal which had mashed potatoes and make sandwiches. My mam used to get on at him for doing this and got quite annoyed sometimes.Mind you ,he made sandwiches at most meals-breakfast,dinner,tea and supper, whatever, he'd make it into a sandwich.

@super_ram I know my mum and dad always had bread with every meal, I think it stems from the days when food wasn’t so plentiful and if you didn’t have much money bread was served with meals to fill you up.

I wouldn’t want to go back to those days but I do think there is too much food available these days and most of it the wrong sort, this is why we have an obesity problem, it breaks my heart when I see kids who are really overweight at a very young age. I’m glad the government are tackling it but it’s too little too late in my opinion.

I expected yours to be anything made with potatoes washed down with guinness @hissingdwarf or am I being stereotypical. :joker:

Yes! Cheek of it!

Guinness only when I’m in Ireland. I’m now being very good and on sugar free sprite or 7up. Even given up coke now!

food wise, not a big potato fan! Give me a bowl of pasta any day of the week. Preferably with cheese somewhere in there!
