Derby Co..what could have been... QPR fined

  • QPR have dropped their objection to the previous ruling
  • QPR fined £17 million as an FFP Tax
  • QPR have transfer embargo in the January 2019 window
  • QPR pay EFL’s legal costs of £3 million (plus presumably their own costs too).
  • QPR owners convert £21 million of debt into shares.
  • The FFP fine will be excluded from QPR’s losses when calculating the 2018/19 figures.

I thought the whole point of the FFP was that clubs would be transfer embargoed if they broke the rules.

QPR have struck a lucky escape IMO.

It's very unfair, if you made money from doing something against the rules - why have they only found the club a small portion of it? It goes against all you would expect. I also think it highlights how the current system for FFP doesn't work.

Derby fans hopefully will come good eventually, they deserve promotion after missing out all these years.

I think QPR should be thrown out of the League and Derby County automatically promoted to the  Premiership with an additional 50 points  awarded(that should be enough points to avoid relegation):rollonfloorlaughing:

Seriously though, when any club gets in financial difficulty or is punished its always the fans that suffer not those who make the decisions or hold the purse strings!

You would hate to see this happen to Notts, so I do feel the punishment should fit the offence.

I can't help but feel that QPR have been very lucky, as a transfer embargo should have been applied IMO.

I 100% agree with you.

No punishment to them really, they gained from the outcome so how is that even suitable?

Well it's good that he stands likely to be charged but I am dubious if it will go ahead considering how the UK tends to allow people with illnesses to walk free.
