Ben Barclay .. what a idiot

I know I’ll get stick for this but right now my thoughts on Ben Barclay are not polite .. he nearly cost us the Crawley match by being sent off for a professional foul.

After he was sent off the lads held on and got a deserving point out of the match.

Gaffer Neil Ardley was not impressed with the red card but this card rules him out the relegation fight.

Highlights are attached on the link above.

It was a dangerous challenge, two-footed but he won the ball. Yes he should have been sent off, yet little contact fortunately was made on the player who made an absolute meal of it. They knew he would go, he should be forgiven for attempting to close down the player. More than some of the players have done all season, I think the break looked quite dangerous.

I just shrug these things off, very bad challenge and it could have been more serious.

Their player does milk it and there's minimum content, yet you can't go sliding in with two feet in the modern game. I suspect Notts might be better off having to rotate, most of the defenders at the club are similar so not much loss.

i agree thomas, i think it was dangerous but not as bad as people are making it seem.

he should be sent back to his parent club with good grades. ????

What a stupid challenge and nearly cost us the game if the lads hadn’t dug in deep we could have lost . It was a dangerous and studied tackle that he shouldn’t have made .. god he’s been sent back cause right now he’s now very popular.

It was rash, let him off with the mistake because it doesn't seem to have effected Notts remotely.

He did well whilst he was here, don't ruin that for him.
