Game 46 - The Robins (A)

Team: Swindon Town

Date: 04/05/19

Where: County Ground

What line-up should Neal Ardley opt for? What will be the key areas for the Magpies to get a victory? What do you think the final score will be?

Have your say below, join in with the Pride of Nottingham match discussion.

This is a massive game and the importance of doing well, I need not say!

I think Notts just needs to forget about the occasions, it's another cup final for us and I hope they play with the same passion as we have recently seen. I think if the midfield perform with the right type of tempo and forward thinking we should do well in the game - I just think we'll be keeping tabs on the Macclesfield game a little more than our own! Plus, I don't want to worry or think about Swindon Town.

As I say just focus on ourselves, that will be enough.

think the focus needs to be on putting the ball in their net and keeping it out of ours, the way we play does not matter. the results do, so i hope cambridge can do us a favour and win the game.

Its going to be very tense and hard to watch.

The first 20 minutes will feel like an eternity I feel. I just want to see Notts fight to the very last second, this whole mess could have been avoided but we are Notts. Let's march on regardless.

3-1 Notts is my prediction.

I fear Macclesfield will win too, so that would take it all out of our hands.

I think the players should be fine going into the game, what worries me is if Notts struggle to break down Swindon and then echos fall around the ground about the potential result at Macclesfield.

This would add the pressure and nerves.

I do think Notts will win, that is not a worry for me but I question if Cambridge has enough to win Macclesfield who will be fighting for their own lives.

I just want to see Notts win, relegation would hurt but the fight has been there despite what some fans think.

The most important game this seasons the lads needs to come out on fire play like they did against Grimsby. Cause anything less will not be excepted or except-able it’s all or nothing. I just hope jimmy and jack are with us this Saturday.

Imagine if Cambridge pull off a win and we don’t. I’ll feel physically sick.

But seriously I’ve got a horrible feeling we’re going to go through all the emotions tomorrow, nothing is ever straight-forward with Notts! Over the course of 90 minutes we’ll be going down at one point, have a chance of survival the next, probably even be safe at some stage!

I really hope we just go all out for the win. 3 points or nothing.

Que será, será and all that... ????

This is like waiting for the dentist. I've been in pain since August and I'm at the stage when I want it over and done with. But who knows, maybe the dentist will change her mind and I'll just need a filling...

The team has to do its homework and win. If we don't do that, I won't drive myself mad thinking about results elsewhere and what if - if we don't win, we've failed and we don't deserve to stay up.

I've been coming to terms with relegation for a while, I'm already thinking about the fightback. But if we find ourselves above the line at any point tomorrow that'll all change... ????

Please just win Notts, it should never be down to the other side losing.

Talk about judgement day!

The players could have at least tried to win Swindon to end the season with a win, rather than a loss and confirmed relegation. I watched the goals, terrible defending.
