will the football leagues transfer window will help notts?

Both Neal Ardley and Neil Cox have spoken about strengthening the squad.

I think the club will be looking at the Football League as options to bring in 1 or 2 players, if the quality can be found, I am sure signings will be made.

If the club are awaiting to make signings, then the FL might be where they want to look now.

Neal Ardley might be looking at league teams, but I don't see many players being signed. If Kyle Wootton does sign permanently, that might be the only one.

We will have to wait and see what happens, I can only see movement happening if better options open up.

I can't see Neal Ardley signing anyone for the sake of it.

Yes and no. Yes because there's the possibility of players coming to the end of their contracts joining us to get some regular game time, even if it's only to put themselves in the shop window.

And no because, if I remember rightly, Scunthorpe have an option to recall Kyle Wooton. His goalscoring exploits will not have gone unnoticed and it's within the realms of possibility that another club will table a bid. I only hope we can somehow get there first.

The January transfer window for EFL clubs will be interesting, in so much as will any come in for Enzio and Dennis, presumably our biggest wage earners? Will the club try and offload Oxlade Chamberlain?

I would consider making enquiries for these players

I would hope that squad's shape can be addressed, and any players unlikely to feature for Ardley given a chance to move on.

If Notts manages to sign anyone, then yes. Otherwise it's just the Non League window to explore.

Notts has a lot of players now who have been around the non leagues, with a good pedigree of football league experience. i think looking at the leagues above may be beneficial.

Neal Ardley won't be in a rush to sign anyone a part from Kyle Wootton.

What kind of a message would it send if he went out and signed 3 players, I could see it doing more harm than good. I do think he will make some movement, but some of this depends on if there will be departures. The squad is good enough for this level, a bit more quality would help if handled correctly.

Time will tell if Neal Ardley makes movement, I think we can all see where needs to be improved but I do think individual players who are here already could up their own game.

It's good to have Kyle Wootton on board as a key signing, I hope Neal Ardley is looking at the wing and centre of midfield as others have mentioned. Strengthening now, would be the best for the club.

I think we're pretty stacked at the moment, plenty of options upfront and in defence, even in midfield we're good. However if Jim O'Brien's going to be out for the rest of the season I'd consider getting someone in on loan.

I too was thinking about another winger, but I'd hate to see Osbourne lose out especially as he's finally breaking into the team. Booty can play on the left, and with Enzio and Shields I think we'll be able to see this season through.

I would like someone creative coming in, yet the signing of Kyle Wootton and the fee must bring this to a balance. I wouldn't want the club to spend for the sake of it.
