  1. It's potentially a bug. I'll speak with support but if you don't hear back soon. Just know, I haven't forgotten, and I will get to the bottom of the issue.
  2. @Fan of Big Tone: I think you should be good to go now. I'll need to spend some time checking all the group settings, but it seems to glance that Liam is correct. Please, let m know. This issue has been fixed, the cache system is on. ????
  3. Still plenty to be played for, and seeing the team finish as high as possible is only a good thing in terms of seeing their growth. Improvements this season have been very good, so I am encouraged by that.
  4. If you have never seen the video before, this explains we refer to Tone as our 'international man of mystery'. It's one of the saddest elements of running a community, the likelihood of learning about a member who posts but isn't known in person. Such as @Who r ya?? You Pies!!. I don't want to come across as over sentimental, but I spent ages trying to find out if he was okay. I had the feeling something had happened, and it wasn't about posting - more about paying respect. @anonypie, also is someone who might not have been as active, but was always helpful when needed. She was the kind of lady that brought people together, and I miss our exchanges of emails. There are a few others who, have sadly passed on. @stewartpot tended to read the site a lot, I loved his character. You could never feel down around him, because he was too lively for that. @GrannyPie loved the community, as much as me, she the care she offered to the younger members I feel will never be matched. One day, we might see some of the old faces return. I don't know, but I think the community element has grown stronger.
  5. We have successfully acquired another subscriber! I am incredibly thankful to those who are supporting the Pride of Nottingham within this means. I value everyone's involvement, that isn't to be taken for granted, but I know wit the current cost-of-living and how expensive things can be, supporting a site like PON might not prioritise highly. Yet, I am in-debt to those who kindly do. I am driven to deliver a high standard, and I want the 2024-25 season to be one of the best. Thank you for being a part of securing the future of the site, plus for considering it - if you haven't yet. ???? ????????️????????????????????????????????️????
  6. I really hope Alex Bass can see that he was truly outstanding against Carlisle and is at no way at fault for the goal conceded against Port Vale. I can't imagine that it's something a keeper like him will really accept, but he has to look at the performances where he has been top draw and use it to get the defence to be more alert to the threat. Honestly, Carlisle was one of the best keeping performances I have seen from a Notts keeper. That is what Alex Bass brings to the team, so I am sure we'll see more top performances from him.
  7. 209, Hardly Al Way. A former grand house, broken down into a series of self-contained flats. That all comes with x.com subscriptions, although it's not what you think. It's the site formerly known as Twitter, but it's still a marketable idea to help sell each of these properties.
  8. Hello, @Richard Eley, I am really pleased to be welcoming you to the Pride of Nottingham. Thank you for joining the subscribing! I can't express how important or appreciated that is. I just hope that you enjoy being part of our Notts County community.
  9. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @daverobinson222. I hope you enjoy being a part of our Notts County community,
  10. Fiorentina are a good team, not as good as they were in the 90s but still to only win by 2 goals, that alone for The New Saints is a great achievement. You would expect them to be thrashed, but the defeat is very respectable.
  11. Stuart Maynard has got much right so far; the transformation in our play and defending has been very promising. I think we can forget this past Saturday, against Port Vale - I think he was desperately trying to navigate a very tricky game. I don't think we had many options to really change the outcome there, so I would hope nobody takes that result or Gillingham as a means to dampen what has been a very promising transformation. One thing, which might seem critical - I believe Maynard must demand high performance levels in every game. Morecambe, Carlisle United and Port Vale have seen a mixture of performance. Yes, each of the games which proved to be difficult, two away from home, but I do think various things have impacted the performance. One way experienced league managers navigate these periods is by motivating their players to play at high levels. Yet it's nothing short of promising the transformation we have seen, and whilst we have done well, there are signs at times that we do miss Macaulay Langstaff and even Aaron Nemane. Nemane would have been someone who could have changed the outcomes against Gillingham and Port Vale, no doubt. Yet I acknowledge we have to use what we have, whilst maintaining the same high levels and hopefully, we can continue to see the success on the pitch.
  12. When it comes to football, particularly the strikers at Notts County. "God" has taken many forms.
  13. Notts have made a good start to the season, even though it's early, everyone should be able to see the progress that is being made. The squad is capable of winning ugly, scraping through results or simply blowing teams out of the water. It all goes down to form, and this stage in the season that is the hard task to establish. Some teams are quick to find consistency. We did have that at the beginning, but I think the loss to Gillingham allowed some tension to creep into the camp. It must have been as equally frustrating for the players, as it was for us and the morale has been hit further with losing the likes of Curtis Edwards and Jodi Jones. One thing that is difficult, is maintaining the same squad each week, in and out at this level. This does help, but when you play as frequently as we do, you do have to rotate the squad, and we keep seeing players picking up knocks. I do think, if we can avoid injuries or at least rally those who step in, to lift their game we will continue to do well at this end of the table. I do think come January, it would be wise to seek for a true replacement for Macaulay Langstaff. David McGoldrick can't be played week in and week out, we have to use him wisely at this age, and this is something I mentioned a lot during the start of the season. Jatta is a great talent at this level, he has goals, but sometimes you need someone who can hustle, or just involve himself more into games. I really do think this would help, as every striker will find some games more difficult than others, even though we have Cedwyn Scott and Jevani Brown. I can't see them being played all that often up front. The progress we are making is good, we can continue to compete within the top three or Notts might start to lose ground by failing to make the most of those difficult games. I think we'll be within the playoffs quite easily, but we can't take anything for granted, and we can't underestimate our own good start.
  14. Like others have said, it's rare to find agreement with the club sponsors, but Dan Crowley did deserve to be named the Man of the Match. He put in a very good performance, and despite the fact we lost. The comments from fans reflect how pleased they were with his contributions to the team, so well done, Dan Crowley.
  15. He's underrated by a fair amount of our fan base, I don't think we can limit what level of ability he has league wise. As, the higher you go up, the more time you get on the ball usually and the less likely you are to be man handled. He does well in that situation, much better than what fans give him credit for. I have seen two opposition players grab hold of his sheet, get in front of him and Sam Austin still managed to get his foot to the ball, only to turn away from them with it. When he's in the zone, he's a difficult player to play against and does well even when he's played out of position. Play him where he belongs: you will get the best out of him. He's the hard-working midfielder we have always needed at this level. Remember, Neal Bishop was said not to be good enough for League One, due to his Non League background. He went on to do well in the Championship. I think Austin is far more gifted in ability and technical aspects than Bish.
  16. Vocalist: Jaret Riddick (Bowling for Soup) Lead guitar: Chris DeMakes (Less than Jake) Bass Guitar: Chris Amato (Hidden in Plain View) Drummer: Travis Baker (Blink 182) This could be a super Pop-Punk/ Ska band.
  17. David McGoldrick said he would be back for Chesterfield yesterday after the game. Conor Grant, he doesn't think he will be out for the six weeks we've been told. Lucas Ness is likely to be longer than a few weeks. I didn't see Jodi Jones or Curtis Edwards yesterday. I was told JJ wasn't at the game, but I can't confirm it.
  18. I hope we continue to give our youngsters a run out, other than that I wouldn't start or play Jatta/McGoldrick (Didzy is back next week). I would be tempted to give Scott a try up front, just so we can see if he would thrive better as a striker. I wouldn't risk losing Jatta or McGoldrick again. The chances of Scott picking up an injury seem much slimmer to me, so it could give him some vital minutes. Either him, or Jevani Brown.
  19. It had the writing on the wall, unfortunately, he would be destined to play as a centre back and would virtually never be given a chance in his proper position due to the options we have. I think this is a deal more to make sure Adam Chicksen gets game time, and is happy with that because I think his career at Notts is now over. He can't be a bench player at his age, so I respect that he has gone out to Woking. I think he's better than that standard, but it's difficult to see him getting the minutes here.
  20. I think it highlights how close teams are at the top end of League Two, I really don't think the match was boring or as bad as some of the comments I overheard during the game or have seen after it. Had Notts scored first, the game would have been so much different. That's not a question, because we would have grown into it more, and it would have forced Port Vale to be more open. I always felt like there wouldn't be many goals in the game. As I predicted and mentioned in the content before, I did feel 2 goals would be in it but at the same time I did feel it could easily just end up with a single goal. I missed that, I looked at my camera screen and the ball was by then in the back of the net. Looking at the highlights, I do think it looks offside and as for the foul mentioned by Stuart Maynard, I just don't know. I don't really think it matters, because we still need to focus on handling that situation. I felt frustrated, Port Vale players attempting to provoke our fans and that is never a good thing to see. It was good to see them eventually run to their own supporters, not sure the other group had to run to confront the Pavis Stand. They were happy to continue when we had players down, but threw a fit when they did it to time waste. Again, we just need to continue, but I do hope the club realises that we need another striker. Josh Martin unfortunately doesn't impress me, he does need further time, but I fail to see how he brings any of the benefits to our team that we haven't already got. Poor passes, lightweight on the ball and runs into areas where Port Vale can easily prevent him. I believe Sam Austin performed significantly better.
  21. I feel for them, to lead and then to allow the game to shift the opposite direction. I thought Peterborough had a good team, but hoped ours would be able to see it out. At 3-2, I feared Peterborough had grown into the game.
  22. Dan Crowley was involved in everything, and whilst I thought Kellan Gordon and Jacob Bedeau both did well, neither really earned my vote like Crowley did.
  23. Coventry City 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday Watford 1-2 Middlesbrough Mansfield Town 3-1 Blackpool Rotherham United 2-0 Reading (Joker) Accrington Stanley 1-0 Morecambe Swindon Town 2-1 Harrogate Town Eastleigh 0-1 Forest Green Rovers Halifax Town 2-1 Tamworth
  24. It can differ per user, but 10 minutes does sound about right for some use cases. I haven't changed anything, the software should reduce the image to fit. Are you sure it's not the file size? I would strongly encourage you to use IMGURL. If a file size is an issue, if it's not memory size - I will investigate why it's happening. Imgur Upload IMG.DOERIG.DEV Thie link above is safe, IMGURL removed the ability to upload without using their app, so a dev created this handy URL which allows you to upload, and click "copy" to get the image URL. Just paste that in.
