  1. I think it's been good to see how closely each player has been voted for. I think George Abbott had a great game. Congratulations, George!
  2. I can't see his outspoken nature changing or being reigned in, even if he ends up being fined or whatever. He's always saying something controversial, it's partly why I am glad he's not involved in English football. Whilst he can be funny, I just prefer to ignore things related to him.
  3. I was about to point this out, as I feel Jodi's form was bringing the best out of Dan Crowley. There was a period, whereby those two were very dominant in our team, very dangerous having them in our attack, and the injury to Jodi Jones seems to have impacted Crowley slightly - along with his own injury woes. I still feel Dan Crowley has been immense this season, and would be my Player of the Season. At this point, at least. If we spoke about "signings", then Jacob Bedeau has to be up there with one of the best recruited players, but you could throw Matty Platt and Alex Bass into the mix. It's a very interesting, and difficult thing to decide. It should make the Pride of Nottingham awards at the end of the season interesting.
  4. We must always recognise the significance, bravery, and sombre nature of Remembrance Sunday. It's time for us to reflect, and appreciate those who fought, fallen and put their lives to defending the freedom of our country. Many aspects of life that once held significance are now increasingly taken for granted by some people today. I remember them, I owe a lot of gratitude, and thanks for how things are now due to them. Lest We Forget.
  5. Jevani Brown was our main attacking threat, but he was involved in our defensive side and there were times when he just needed releasing with the ball a bit quicker. I think he played very well, but we were somewhat limited at times with our movement with credit to Doncaster for being more organised. Alex Bass does deserve a shoutout for his efforts, as he kept them at bay and was unlucky to concede the goal they did manage to score. My vote does go to Brown though.
  6. Last season they were poor, and they've not really signed many players, but they should be more of a threat with Billy Sharp involved. They have several loan players who make things interesting. Teddy Sharman-Lowe is a good keeper; he is gaining further EFL experience with Doncaster having been loaned out by Chelsea previously to smaller teams. He's of good height, and ability. He should be a big improvement over Ian Lawlor, who didn't have his best game against us last time round where we beat them 3-1. I thought Doncaster was actually lucky to score, they were just a team that looked out of sorts and very beatable. Much of their defence is still the same, which was their biggest weakness, but I do think they will be a lot tighter this time round. Whilst I don't expect them to be much of a passing side at the back, I think we should get chances and the game will come down to who takes them. 2-1 (us), 1-1 seems much more likely.

  8. A topic could be seen by 100–1000 guests over time, with 2–60 members having seen the topic. Only to have one reply, I wouldn't say it failed because sometimes all it takes is a few people to respond to encourage others into sharing their views. There are a few members who try to engage with every post possible, and in a meaningful way. I don't have any focus these days on success, I see things as a way to learn, and I personally just want members to enjoy themselves. That for me is the happiest aspect, as I don't care about the amount of reactions I get to comments (it's nice), but honestly, I would rather see members named within the leaderboard or hitting good amounts of reactions. I think it's more about quality, and togetherness. Don't take my comment about reactions the wrong way; it's just not something I focus on. My success here can only be deemed on effort, leadership and quality. It's something I need to step up, but I know people understand - which is a massive worry off my shoulder.

Unfortunately, his move to Aberdean was his shot of playing at a higher level, and whilst I think he still has the chance to have some time in League Two. It's narrowing down, to which I believe it might just be better and more enjoyable for him to be a part of salvaging Scunthorpe United woes. He's a great player, very exciting to watch and when in form - he's hard to play against. It's great to see him re-find this form, plus earning praise but an element of it comes with being settled. If Scunthorpe can maintain their current form and push to make a return to League Two, then his injury concerns might not cause his career further issues. They know the concerns, will most likely have a familiar feeling to how we did when he was here and view him as irreplaceable. So, it is good to see him doing so well.

@Wheelbarrow repair man I have to say, I have my suspious.
  11. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Jonathan Raimondi. Thank you for your support. I hope you enjoy your purchase when it arrives. Until then, I hope you enjoy being a part of our Notts County community.
  12. I refer to our fans, on social media as "Notts fans". Mostly, because it saves characters, and it can read better. I sometimes include Notts County further in the message(s), so I really don't see the fuss. We are Notts, County, Magpies, The Magpies, The Black & White Army, NCFC, Pies etc. Preference is one thing, but it's on par with political correctness and wokeness to take harms over something so trivial. This is when it comes to beyond moaning, and taking to using pitchforks or having a meltdown over it. The world has so many problems, but how we refer to ourselves as fans isn't one - provided it falls within meaning.
  13. Something super useful in regard to PON, would be to solely focus on my efforts and ignore what people say. I wish I had made my own judgement at times, but those are things you learn with wisdom and not everyone who suddenly befriends you has the best interest. I would also encourage myself to start the site sooner, with the same focus as I have now in terms of content.

Now, I know why @super_ram is attached to a certain seat and always seems to reset every time he first sits down in it. ???? I think Elon Musk says one thing, and does another. I don't really like his character, or how he goes about things. I wouldn't trust any robot built by him, I am not sure if I would trust any but at the price - I don't think we need to worry all that much.

As funny as the goal is, the celebration within the net is hilarious. I also had to double-check that the scorer wasn't Lewis Alessandra. I think the celebrations lasted longer than it did for Midtjylland to gift the goal.
  16. New emoji you say?
  17. Redis is failing again. I had to restart the server which gave us some brief downtime. I'm trying to resolve the issue.
  18. I have fixed some very minor theme bugs. PON Default theme: Spacing issue fixed: bookmark button now matches the control links. Fixes to styling throughout the forum index, and topic pages. PON Dark theme: As above. Visibility improved by clearly highlighting who has engaged with the content. A dark theme alternative to the "PON Lightweight Theme" is in beta, and will be soon added.
  19. I think it's very promising. Notts always tails off towards Decemeber usually, New Year being a very crucial point, and I think it's a good thing that Jevani Brown is starting to come into it more. With the lack of options between Jatta and David McGoldrick, we need someone to step in when one or the other needs resting. We have a tendency to play McGoldrick to the point where he really would benefit from time out, and usually that hits us when we most need him the most. He's handled it well this season so far, McGoldrick as his second half of the 2023-24 season I wasn't all that bothered about keeping him, for another year, and thought he would be more of a 'bench/impact player'. There's no doubt he's been one of the best things about this current campaign, so with Brown coming into things more, it's encouraging that we aren't so isolated with options up top. Jatta will get goals, but my concern is those games where we need the striker to be more involved. That's not his style of play, so I think we have done well to be where we are now considering allowing Macaulay Langstaff and Junior Morias to go, without a replacement hasn't yet caused us any major issues unlike losing Matt Palmer to injury did last season. If we can get to the January transfer window, still being in the top 3 and without being 5–7 points off from the league leaders. I think this would give a real sense that automatics is possible, we could continue to be in the running with them, but I do think it's far more likely that we'll be behind the champions come the season ending. Whilst playoffs isn't a negative, I would hope we avoid them. As, I feel if we are serious about this current campaign, then we need to avoid wasting what start we have made, and use the previous season as an example of how we can further challenge for an automatic place. There's not much that we really need, and I believe squad wise we do have the quality, but every other team come January will be trying to strengthen themselves. I feel this season would be a waste if we didn't try to ensure we aren't limited. A winger and striker on paper, is all we need and whilst a prolific goalscorer doesn't grow on trees or is easily found, we could benefit from someone who is different and can contribute with them.
  20. It's very important we don't put things off, or live subconsciously. Life is already very short, so getting checks and looking after yourself should be the highest priority - despite it being hard times with aspects of emotions, time, and other commitments.
  21. Chris replied to Piethagoram's post in a topic in Politics
This topic quickly went off track, and became about opinions/alternative motives rather than a discussion. It does nothing for politics, nor the community, and only has a domino effect. Therefore, these are my reasons for closing it. I don't believe the initial post is an anti monarch article, that's my personal opinion but the points it raised after hasn't contributed to a productive conversation.
  22. It should be fixed now, with white remaining in the users post area, but being green elsewhere. ????
  23. I noticed the same thing with the PM box. The amount is white, so I need to target the post screen with my changes - as the code I have implemented is doing this.
  24. @Robbie, you are right. I have changed it to a better green on the default skin and white for the lightweight theme. Would you please compare, and then let me know your thoughts? I do like the idea of the likes total being a different colour, but the green prior didn't work, I agree with that.
  25. Update: I have applied some final fixes. I apologise if these effected anyone's experience whilst interacting with PON - however, I could do the changes without seeing it live. Social icons for users have been added beneath usernames. Note: This is the only way that people can see X.com links on mobiles and tablets. Desktop/Laptop.... Mobile/Tablet.... I have also reduced the transparency in the post area for the default and dark themes.
