BBC Grandstand teleprinter....
I do miss watching the results come in, I remember when @super_ram used to do the Football pools, and he would be listening to the results to see if he had won anything. It's also some of the better parts of games like LMA Manager, where they replicated the teleprinter and scores being announced.

Weekly Chat Mon 28th Oct - Sun 3rd Nov
I went to see Sum 41 yesterday, they lived up to the expectations, and I left feeling it was the best gig I have been too. Sometimes, I feel bands let the fans down but with this being their final tour - after their 8th album. The support band were awful, I have seen them as a supporting act 3-4 times now. Each time, I have hated The Bronx. I get what Sum 41 did, set the bar low with them and then play their own hearts out. It felt like I were being soundboarded (like waterboarding but with terrible sound). It was worth going, as I haven't managed to see them before, and I know it meant a lot to Kate.

F*rest owner instigating legal proceedings
I've encountered various accounts regarding his alleged spitting on a match official, which resulted in a stadium ban. Whilst away, I heard Forest fans blindly supporting him and all sorts of things from he had a cough, to he was getting rid of phlegm. It wouldn't surprise me, he seems like that sort of person in my opinion who would overreact and do something stupid in the process. I am not sure if he has any case to stand on though.

Cal Roberts return to form
Cal Robert's departure came at the right time for us, and him. Even though I felt gutted that he was leaving, Aberdeen was such a huge step-up for him and the fee we obtained no matter how much would have helped Notts. It's great to see him playing so well, plus scoring. I still believe he could play EFL football, but with his injuries and being 27-years-old. I think Notts would want to find someone a bit younger, and less likely to suffer setbacks. We already have a fair few on our books, so it wouldn't be a wise thing in my opinion. Despite this, I would welcome Roberts back in a heartbeat - I just don't believe he fits what we would be seeking now though.

I have applied fixes to the comment controls for the default, and dark skin. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with the lightweight theme. That seems fine to me, but if someone who uses it believes that something should be corrected - please let me know, and I will review. I haven't made any changes to the transparency, but I am keen to see thoughts on that. If it needs to be reduced slightly I will make those changes. The +Supporter's badge will be reduced in size soon, so that it fits better. ????

Weekly chat 14th - 20th October
@DangerousSausage: I took some pictures this past Saturday, as we went to Winthorpe to escape a busy Skegness. Yet we planned to visit some of GP's favourite locations, which my eldest daughter finally managed to walk under one of the underpasses in the area. One of the last times she did, she was sat on my mum's knee - whilst Super pushed her into a deep pool of water. We had a storm, where the drains filled, and it left one end with a large body of water. For some reason, Super thought it would be a great idea to push her electric wheelchair through it. Obviously, the electric side had been disengaged but remarkably silly considering it could have caused issues for the battery. I can still hear my mum shouting "Barry" and "stop". ???? Poor Ellie lost one of her trainers as Kate focused on walking through it - so Jake and Ellie didn't get wet. Whilst I just pushed my mum completely through the water, without giving much thought to me getting soaked. I remember it reaching just above my socks, and thankfully mum's battery wasn't damaged. This gave us all a good laugh over the years, despite Super sometimes not showing much of a funny bone. Since GP's passing, we have tried to walk through it, but it's always been flooded. The last time we tried, it was more flooded than the time I have just shared. I could imagine, @Fan of Big Tone laughing his head off at this story. He might even find himself wet from all the laughter. ????????????

I did have plans to show it prior to the change, but with me being on holiday - I just went ahead and made the switch when I got back after going out. I had been testing it on the dev site, I felt quite happy to use it in a live environment because I knew I would get feedback. Why the change? Previously, only the information was enhanced to the postbit area (the area by the side of our posts). I wanted to bring in elements into the mobile side, as I know how a lot of members use it. By default, you lose out on so much information for the sake of keeping the "clean" and "simple" look, but it lacks. There's no content count number, it just displays a badge of your recent achievement. a badge if you are a team member, your username, the post date and time. On desktops, it looked much better with the enhancements, but I wanted to improve the overlook on all devices. The plan was to work on the previous design, but I thought with elements such as sharing posts, post IDs coming into importance with the curation of the "content you may have missed". The one change allowed me to drop several other plugins and one application, which is a good boost to our performance. I have made a lot of changes to the UI on tablets, since this is what I used dominantly whilst I have been away. The enhancements made to the postbit and surrounding UI have resulted in a remarkable improvement. At least in my opinion, and I don't take making changes lightly. Now I am back, with full access I will be fine-tuning things a little further. In the days since the changes, things have massively moved forward. Sometimes you need that feedback to make something work. I personally like knowing people feel comfortable making suggestions and whilst things aren't for everyone. I don't see this as being a step backwards, more focused on moving forward. ???? A lot of good things have come from the funds raised via the subscriptions, this is just part of that. So, thank you for the support. Now, let's continue to make the Pride of Nottingham the community we know it is.

Fact of the day : Away form
It seems every week, or so, Notts are earning another positive stat, award, or record. It's very impressive! It wasn't that long ago, we would be lucky to have a player in the team of the week, maybe the odd manager of the month reward. These days, Notts collect almost everything, and compete with the top English teams. Such as, the most goals scored as mentioned before. Assists with Jodi Jones, also put us up there with Manchester City players.

A bug which showed the birthday symbol, but no age has been fixed. Only those who set their full date, will reveal their age within topics. I'm going to look at the transparency shortly.

The age bug should be fixed now, mine displays correctly. NewPie and Member groups now show as white, instead of the grey which clashes. (on all themes) I need to look at making the +Supporters badge a little smaller. The transparency effect within the main post area and user action row, such as @, Bookmark, +, Quote, Edit Report. I'll see what I can do in terms of the usernames which are difficult to make out. I'll check it's not a guest bug, but it very well may be caused due to it loading in for the first time. Please do continue to provide feedback, everyone.

Yes, I'm aware of the little alterations which are needed, and I will sort them ASAP. I come back late Monday, but I hope to have most completed before then. I just have to rely on stealing @super_pie's laptop for a bit.

I see, I will look into making it less faded, and making the quote buttons stand out more again.

That's the sites background, there's a bit of a transparent effect that allows you to see it. I'm certain areas on laptops/PC's this has been around for quite awhile. I may remove the effect if it becomes to annoying. ???????? I think with mods being sent emails about reports, and then also being sent via PM - that should ensure somebody comes on. I noticed this due to an email. Every one to my knowledge has a job, some are in college/uni. Life's very demanding, and I understand the suggestion, but with everyone simply volunteering their time - I don't feel I can ask any one of them to be online at an exact time. I might look into a different solution mind, but I can't promise.

The green around my display/Avatar means I'm online, if it's grey the member is either offline or has set their account to be shown anonymously - which removes the visibility of the online status. My usergroup is yellow, subscribers is blue, mods are orange etc. There's a few things which needs to be fixed, such as the dark mode of the default theme. Yet what you are seeing us out new post bit, which brings better information to handheld devices.

I recently changed the postbit style, so that it looks better, and I'm wondering if this has caused some knock on effects. If you managed to be able capture a screenshot, @Robbie that would be useful. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Who is your Man of the match v Barrow?
I thought David McGoldrick put a lot of effort into his performance, and for the most part, he looked the most likely to create anything noteworthy. He gave the ball away a few times, but on one instance he had won it back. He went on to win it back, I thought he played very well.

Weekly chat 14th - 20th October
Yes, it’s still there. It remains exactly the same as it was when I was younger, except the pub attached to it burned down a few years ago. You might remember a small gift shop that stood opposite. It always had knick-knacks, but the elderly lady who owned it sold up and retired. The Smiths purchased it, along with the Derbyshire Miners' Welfare building and the lifeguard watchtower that the shop was part of. It’s now a fancy pub, with fancy prices, fancy chairs, and even fancier clientele. The café that used to be behind the shop is now the outdoor seating area for that posh pub, complete with glass windbreaks for an even more upscale effect. There’s even a stylish outdoor bar, which they’re too pretentious to use, but it looks good nonetheless. Unfortunately, with the Dunes pub having burned down, one of the owners has been forced back into working in the arcade. She sits at the change booth, looking quite miserable and rather stuck-up. If you politely ask her for change, and manage to avoid any fuss, she tells you to use one of the many change machines, which rarely work. She even once frog-marched Jake to one, only to eat humble pie when it wouldn’t function, despite her trying twenty times. I used to love the arcade; I hold it dear to my heart and have so many childhood memories associated with it. The old attendants were like friends, and one still remains. He used to look a lot like the actor who voiced the character in "Bill and Ben, the Flowerpot Men." I think he was also in "Cold Feet," though I can’t recall the actor's name, but he still resembles him. Working with the owner, he’s bound to see some changes over the years.

Match Discussion: Game 13 - The Bluebirds (A)
The whole decision regarding Jatta, David McGoldrick, and Jevani Brown seemed strange, especially given the options we had on the bench if one needed to be substituted due to injury. I thought Notts played very poorly; no one made space or attacked as a team. It felt like we were relying on one player to deliver the ball into the box, while 2-3 of our players were outnumbered by seven defenders marking them. We improved as the match went on, but I couldn’t see where a goal would come from. It must have been frustrating for those who turned up, so credit to the fans. Notts needed to pass the ball around better and give Barrow a chance to create space, but we were lucky to get a penalty. I must say, David McGoldrick is quite predictable in where he will shoot, and his penalties aren’t the best. Of course, I’m pleased for him that it went in, but sooner or later, better goalkeepers will know exactly how to handle it.

Match Discussion: Game 14 - The Sulphurites (H)
Based on yesterday's performance, I believe we need to focus on putting the ball into areas where we can take shots. Instead of trying to walk the ball into the net, I found Notts to be quite unimpressive, and I think Harrogate will aim to defend tightly and block our attempts. At this point, it’s clear how much Jodi Jones is thinking about how to adapt to the opposition, yet no one seems to be doing the same. We can isolate Jatta and expect him to take chances, but yesterday he rarely had more than two players near him. No one tried to create space, draw a defender away, or open up opportunities for others. This is something we really need to start doing.

Match Discussion: Game 13 - The Bluebirds (A)
I thought this was an EFL Trophy game, but judging some of the comments, I am not the only one. ???? Hopefully, Notts will put out a competitive squad but allow some to be rested. It's not to disrespect Barrow, but rest legs ahead of of the weekends game. Harrogate have established themselves at this level, and bring a successful Non League style to League Two. So, I would hope even if we start a strong squad, that we bring in fresh legs just rest people. Barrow away, will be interesting to see how we do.

Weekly Chat Monday 21st - Sunday 27th Oct
@menzinho very sad to learn about the passing of your neighbour, plus how easily people are to throw stuff away but then again, dealing with it can be hard when you are grieving. I've made ice cream at home, it's much healthier and nicer. I wished Cheeky would let me buy a machine to do it but our kitchen is quite small, cand the work space is limited. It's not that difficult to make from scratch, so I hope you enjoy your new ice cream maker, and manage to get creative with it. -- I've had a lovely day at Skegness, we went to the sea aquarium and the dinosaurs exhibit. We then had a quick snack, the girls had ice cream, Jake had a jumbo hotdog, Super had fishcakes, chips and mushy peas and I had a chip buttie. Then we spent some time on the beach, which was brilliant fun.

Are speaking Winthorpe Avenue area, where there used to be a pub called "The Dunes" with an attached arcade called 'The Smiths Amusements', or are we talking the old Robin Hood arcade, which "The Lookout" purchased and turned into their family entertainment area, building a new arcade to the side of the pub as you walk up, @DangerousSausage?

Why I don't like Johnnie Jackson
We had a very good player on our hands when we signed Johnnie Jackson. I thought it was a brilliant signing, and I believe his time with us could have been better had he managed to settle in Nottingham. However, I overheard comments he made about Notts, Nottingham, and other matters during a meeting at my former workplace. The media reported that he couldn't settle with his family in Nottingham, but the truth is he saw signing for us as a step back in his career. He believed he was bigger than Notts County and had already made efforts to leave, but we would only allow him to go out on loan at first. Professional players sometimes come with attitudes, and while you could easily forgive a young player for being ambitious, what I heard from him that day has been something I found difficult to forget. I don't dislike him; I hate him. Any player who believes Notts would be a good move, only to become two-faced and feel entitled to play at a higher level, doesn't deserve respect. He didn't like fighting for his place, and while I don't particularly care if he hated Nottingham, disrespecting Notts County really angered me.
